Children are important to us. Going to church as a family should be a wonderful and enriching experience. We love to have young children in our meetings becasue we believe they pick up the Word of God. Make church a habit. Young children learn through repetition. Try to go to church as a family on a regular basis. Over time, they will understand that church is a special place that will give them the right foundation for life.
Pray together at home. Teach your child short prayers, responses, and the hymns that are sung at your church each week. Children love to sing and they will enjoy joining in with the adults to sing and pray at church.
You are welcome to bring quiet toys, reading or colouring books for them to do by your side. We like children to join us in reading the scriptures and we often have a sketch for them to participate in.
Children's Safety
Our key church workers have been police checked even if they don't work directly with children. At Gateway Community Church we take such issues very seriously.
