Background music is an audio file that is set to play when a page is loaded. To set the background music for a page, click the "Upload" button in the "Background Music:" feature under the "Edit Subpage" tab. This will open the Asset Manager where all of your uploaded files are stored. You should see all the media files which you have uploaded listed in this window. Select the audio file you wish to use for the background music of the page and click the "ok" button in the bottom, right of the window. Then click the "Save Changes" button to save the page settings.

*Note: Audio files which you wish to use on your website must first be uploaded in order for you to use them. If you do not see the audio file listed in your Asset Manager, then you will need to upload the file. For information about the Asset Manage, including how to upload audio files, please see the "Asset Manager" help pages.

*Tip:There are several types of audio files and it's important to understand what they are so you can select the best format for the audio for various features on your website. For the background music of the pages of a website, we recommend using MIDI music files because they have a very small file size and will not use much of your disk space or bandwidth. For more information about the various types of audio files, please see the "Media - Audio" help pages.

The Display This Page setting determines whether or not a web page is \"live\" or not. Pages which are set to not display will not be listed in the website\'s navigation menu and visitors will not be able to access the page. The Display This Page setting allows webmasters to work on a page until it is completed without having to worry about visitors viewing the unfinished page. Also, webmasters may have pages which are seasonal or only needed occasionally. This feature also allows webmasters to stop displaying the pages without having to delete them. This way when the page is needed again it can simply be turned back on instead of having to be recreated.

Under the \"Other Settings\" tab is the \"Display this Page:\" feature. Click on the Display This Page drop-down menu and select whether you wish to have a page displayed on your website or not.

*Note: Pages which are not being displayed still count toward your website\'s page limit if you have a hosting package with limited pages.

*Tip: Create seasonal homepages and set them to not be displayed. Then when it\'s \"that time of year\", you can simply set the page to be displayed and not have to change the homepages you have worked hard to setup. Then go into your website\'s config menu and change the Default Home Page setting to that season\'s homepage.

The Parent Subpage feature allows webmasters to setup submenus in their website\'s navigation menu. To set a page to appear as a submenu item, click the \"Parent Subpages:\" drop-down menu under the \"Other Settings\" tab. Then select the page that you would like the parent page to be (The main menu item). This means that on your navigation menu the link for this page will drop down from the link for the page you choose as your parent page.

You will also find a link to the \"Submenu Style\" feature which is in the Menu Options section. In this section you can customize the appearance and function of the submenus. You can find more information about the Submenu Style section in the \"Menu Options\" help pages.

*Note: If you set a page as a submenu item for another page, you can always put it back in the main navigation menu by selecting \"None\" in the \"Parent Subpage\" feature.

*Tip: If your website has a lot of pages, use the Parent Subpage feature to organize and \"clean up\" your website\'s navigation menu. Having a lot of links in a navigation menu can be confusing. By categorizing pages in submenus you can make your visitor\'s experience more enjoyable and make navigating around your website much easier.

In the "SEO Features" tab are 5 elements to help your page within the search engines as well as allow you to insert HTML or Javascript code into the header of your web pages. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and the settings in the SEO Features section help search engines such as Google and Yahoo better understand your page and what it is about.

In the SEO Features tab, you can setup the Meta Tags for the web page as well as input the settings for the SEO Friendly feature for that page. (Info about the SEO Friendly feature can be found in the "Web Builder Config" help pages.) The meta tags are inserted into the HTML document, but are often not directly visible to a user visiting the site. While meta tags are less significant today than they were in years past, they are still an important element of a website and should not be overlooked. Each individual tag represents a different category or topic and some tags can actually have an active affect on your website by redirecting a page, or by keeping search engine "bots" away.

A submenu is a list of menu items that reveals itself when a mouse rolls over a main menu. This is a handy feature for adding some organization to your menu choices. For example, you may have a main menu item entitled “About Us”. Some common submenu items that would be appear under this topic would be “Our Location”, “Our Statement of Faith”, “Our Mission”, or “Our History”. By making these items a part of a submenu, a lot of space is saved and your visitors are able to navigate more conveniently.

To edit the submenu settings, be sure to select a menu from the drop down box first and then click on the “Submenu Settings” tab.
