Posted by Paul Steinbrueck on 22 December 2015 11:53 AM

One of our biggest themes throughout 2015 has been the importance of making your website mobile-friendly and responsive so it looks good and functions well on all devices.  We've also blogged frequently about how using Wordpress as the plaform for your website makes that easier to accomplish and provides many other benefits.

Well, I'm excited to announce that this week we took our own advice and launched a brand new OurChurch.Com website.

You view it at OurChurch.Com and read more about why and how we built it here.

You Now Have Better Audio/Videos Functionality In Your Website
Posted by Paul Steinbrueck on 26 November 2014 08:56 AM

Hi OCC Members,

One of the best ways to engage new and regular visitors to your website is with audio and video.  However, one of the biggest barriers that prevents website visitors from being able to listen to audio or watch video on a website is when a plugin is required to be installed in their web browser to listen/watch.  So, we've been working on improvements to our NE1 Web Builder that will enable visitors to expeirence audio and video without a plugin.

Earlier today we distributed the improved audio/video functionality to everyone using the NE1 Website Builder in a Gold, Silver or Bronze account.  If you have a free site, you can get the improved audio/video functionality when you upgrade - http://myocc.ourchurch.com

It's important to note... only MP3 audio and MP4 video can be played without a plugin.

Here's a video tutorial that shows how it works:

If you have any questions, just let us know.

P.S. We also increased the size of the audio/video files that can be uploaded using the Asset Manager in NE1 to 40 MB (anything bigger than that can be uploaded using FTP.)
