How do I change my username or transfer my website to a new user account?
We do not recommend changing you username unless there is a very compelling reason to do so. The procedure is time-consuming and not automated because you will have to create a new user account with a different email address, and then make a request to move the website over to the new account. However, if you feel it is absolutely necessary, here are the steps you must follow exactly:
  • Go to OurChurch.Com and click the "User Registration" link found in the Help section of the menu.
  • Complete the registration form and submit it. (Note: you cannot use the same email address on two accounts. Therefore you will either have to use a different email address for the new account or change the email address for the old account before creating the new account.)
  • Once the new account has been created, submit a help desk request (by sending an email to support@ourchurch.com) that your site be moved from the old account to the new account. This request MUST come from the email address that is associated with the account the site is being moved FROM. Please include the username of both the accounts (identifying which is which) and the URL of the website you are moving.
