  • Background Color: Click the color palette to the right and select a color to add a background color to the entire news module.  When you click on a color in the color palette some numbers and letters will appear in the Background Color field.  These numbers and letters are html code which corresponds with the color you have chosen.  To remove the background color, select in the Background Color field and delete the numbers and letters.
  • Border: If you would like to have a border around the news module, click the drop-down menu and select a number.  The numbers correspond with the thickness of the border with 3 being the thickest.  Select 0 to remove the border.

  • Header Font Color: This allows you to set a different font color for your headlines then the rest of the news text. Click the color palette to the right and select the color you want.

  • Date Font Size: Choose the size of the font for the dates in the news module by clicking drop-down menu and selecting the size you want.
  • News Width: This feature allows you to make the news module wider or more narrow.  The default width of the news module is 160px.  Enter a higher or lower number of pixels to increase or decrease the width of the news module.  You can also use a percentage.  This will determine the width of the module in relation to its default width.  So, 50% would be the same as 80px.

*Note: When using a template with the new module incorporated into it, changing the width of the module can cause unwanted layout issues with the template.  We recommend only changing the width of the new module if you are using a template which does not incorporate the news module in it.

Show Archive Link: If you would like to save articles in the archive, but do not want visitors to be able to access them after they are archived, you can set the Show Archive Link to “no” and the link to the archive will not be shown in the news module.

Click the “Save changes” button after setting up the desired layout.
