When adding or editing a page, make use of the "SEO Features" tab. Adding keywords to the SEO Words (which appears in the page URL), title, description, and keywords there can help that page's search rankings.

St. James Presbyterian Church
St. James Presbyterian Church is located in Greensboro, NC. Recently they asked OurChurch.Com to create a new, custom CMS website for them. The site features an animated Flash header full of images the people who make up the church. This helps the website visitor see how friendly and energetic St. James is. Additionally, the site features links to its Facebook and MySpace pages, which help to connect people throughout the week to the church and each other.

Secrets to Being #1 in Google

Hello OurChurch.Com Webmaster,

I was just reading the other day that Google is now the 12th largest public company in the U.S. Wow! Eleven years ago it did not even exist. That speaks volumes as to how important search engines and thus search marketing has become.

As the administrator of a website, you obviously want people to visit your website, and the more the better. Ranking well in the search engines for keywords related to your site is vital part of that. That's why we've made May Search Marketing Month.

In this issue of the webmaster newsletter we talk about search marketing. Plus we've got some other great features you've come to expect each month - a funny video about prayer, 4 new NE1 templates, and a coupon you'll only find here.

Search engines are huge potential sources of new visitors for your website. If you want the people who are looking for an organization like yours to find you, you've got to rank well in Google and other search engines. There are two ways you can go about getting great search rankings for your site - become an expert or pay an expert to do it for you.

May is Search Marketing Month at OurChurch.Com. If you want to improve your site's search rankings yourself, we've got all sorts of resources - tips, blog articles, forum discussions - to help you do that. If you don't have the time or expertise to do it yourself, we've got search marketing services available for churches, schools, businesses and ministries. You can learn about our services and read the case studies to see how they've helped our clients. Read the announcement for more details.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is very personalized, time-consuming work. It takes many hours to do all the keyword research, on-page optimization, report generating, and modifications needed to get top 10 rankings. That's why we usually charge a $499 up-front fee to get started. This month only, however, we're waiving that up-front fee when you commit to 15 months of any of our search marketing services. This includes our SEO Management, Top Church Search Rankings, Top School Search Rankings, and Local Business Search Marketing services. You must order before the end of May to get this great deal, so don't delay. Order today!

Local Busines Search Marketing - Case Study

Since the Internet is international, it has been a great resource for large companies that distribute their products and services nationally or internationally. But local businesses that serve a small geographic area have been slow to utilize the Internet. For them the Internet seemed too broad and untargetted to be effective, but all that has been changing in the last few years.

Search engines have developed local search options and geo-targeting, yellow page companies have created online versions of themselves, and websites have sprung up that solely provide local business information and reviews. As these changes took place, people started changing. People moved from using the phone book to find local business information to using the Internet. In fact, more people now use the Internet to find local business info than the phone books. Now local businesses have a great opportunity on the web.
