About My Life and Religious Upbringing
As to my religious background, I was baptized as a young child (12 years of age) at the Fourth Avenue Christian Church, 296 West Fouth Avenue Columbus 1, Ohio.
How I Came To Know The Name Yahweh
I remember asking myself in my younger years when going to the diverse churches my family attended, "What is God's name" or "What is the name of "the LORD" when confronted with passages from my so called, "Holy Bible" such as "Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name...", "I have come in My Father's Name...", or with such phrases like "In the name of the Lord" and etc. I knew that god and lord were not names and were only mere titles because of my observing that Satan was called the "god of this world" (II Corinthians 4:4) and that there are "gods many and lords many" (I Corinthians 8:5). I also observed that in the so called "Holy Bible" that wives refered to their husbands as lords and that some men's Gods are their bellies (Philippians 3:19).
I came to the knowledge of the Name of our Heavenly Father and Creator, Yahweh and the Name of His Son, YAHshua some 25+ years ago through a translation/transliteration of the 'Holy Bible' by A. B. Traina called the 'Holy Name Bible'. I found this translation among some Christian literature, free for the taking. It is actually a A.K.J.V. with the Name of our Heavenly Father and Creator and the Name of His Son restored. There are also some other minor changes. I still have this translation among some other 35+ translations in my personal library. I have four translations with the Name Yahweh restored. The first group that I came into contact with that used the Name Yahweh and the Name of His Son, YAHshua and proclaimed obedience to His Law was the Assemblies of Yahweh in Bethel, Pennsylvania. They also had their own translation that used the Name Yahweh and Yahshua called the Sacred Scripture, Bethel Edition. Back then there were few groups that used the Name Yahweh and the Name of His Son YAHshua. At the time that I came into contact with the Assemblies of Yahweh, I was lead to believe that they were the only group that proclaimed the Name Yahweh and obedience to His Law. I soon found out through independent study in our local library that this was not so. There were many groups before this one that proclaimed the Name Yahweh and obedience to His Law. I found other faults with this group as time went on. Two that I will mention is that Jacob O. Meyer taught that eating mushroons is a sin and are unclean. He believed that there were other things written in the Law that were not passed down or had been lost. He believed that there were dietary restrictions on plants as there were on animals and that mushrooms were one of these plants that we are not to eat. He pointed out that we were are only to eat green plants bearing seed. A great book that I found to refute this false teaching is published by the House of Yahweh - Abilene, Texas titled Yahweh's Passover And Yahshua's Memorial and is available to read online.
Another fault I found with Jacob O. Meyer was that he was bringing a lawsuit against another assembly. The information on this lawsuit can be found by clicking HERE

News Flash for Breakaway Sacred Name Groups!
In a decisive action aimed at "setting the record straight" on recent baseless and groundless accusations leveled against the Assemblies of Yahweh organization, its representatives, and in particular Elder Jacob O. Meyer, legal action has now officially begun against the criminal elements of the Sacred Name Movement!
Although harsh and unjustified criticism of Elder Meyer as well as the Assemblies of Yahweh has not been unusual, (particularly by those who have been disgruntled former members), in recent days the outright prevarications and slanderous attacks have become more outlandish, and according to our investigations, just plain false. We see a fulfillment of the passage in 2 Timothy 3:13 "But evil men and impostors shall become worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." It is a sign of the times when these apostate members and groups make libelous statements as a recruiting method. It appears that something has finally got to be done to separate truth from the lies being published by these dissidents.
Recently we at Truth on the Net Dot Com received a correspondence from the Bishop of the Assemblies of Yahweh regarding the steps he has taken to ensure the truth becomes known, and the lies and accusations cease. His correspondence contained a letter from a retained law firm. With permission from Elder Jacob O. Meyer, I will share the contents of that letter to illustrate the deviousness and corrupted thinking of these renegades from truth, and to serve as a warning to others who would use deceit to further their own ends.
Dear Mr. X
I represent Jacob O. Meyer. He has referred to me your recent correspondence which you sent to your sister X.
The content of your correspondence as it refers to Mr. Meyer and others is defamatory in nature in that you have made dastardly accusations which I have been informed are absolutely untrue.
By publishing these defamatory statements via correspondence to your sister, you have exposed yourself to an action for defamation which would involve not only claims for compensatory damages, but also punitive damages. Consequently, you are hereby placed on notice that if the same or similar activity as referred to above is continued by you, suit will be instituted against you seeking monetary damages, together with interest and costs of suit.
Frankly, based on the content of the letter, I would have considered recommending to Mr. Meyer that he immediately file suit but he has only authorized me at this point to send you this letter as a fair warning of what will follow unless you immediately cease and desist such activity to which reference has hereinbefore been made.

An illustration of this kind of writing has been on one such group's web site reviewed here on Truth on the Net Dot Com. These individuals have sought to slander the organization and instructor that taught them the truth. But these wayward individuals have crossed the legal line all too frequently, and enough is enough. You may disagree with the doctrines of another organization but you may not wrongfully impugn their character or the character of that organization. (Prov 22:1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, And loving favor rather than silver and gold.) These people have sought to illegally destroy that good name as well as besmirch the name of their creator.
We here at Truth on the Net Dot Com have sought not to attack the individual but the sin, false doctrine, and unscriptural behaviors. By doing so we have received the same harsh criticism from some, and gratitude from others who are seeking truth.
"Transgressing and denying Yahweh, and turning away from following our Elohim, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. And justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth has fallen in the street, and uprightness cannot enter. Yes, truth is lacking; and he that departs from evil makes himself a prey. And Yahweh saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice." Isaiah 59:13-15
This posting should put all splinter groups with "an axe to grind" on notice. You may not cross the legal line with false statements attempting to destroy the character of another, and to dramatize and color your own particular activities as to appear legitimate.
"Yahweh, who shall sojourn in your tabernacle? Who shall dwell in your holy hill?"
"He that walks uprightly, and works righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart; He that slanders not with his tongue, Nor does evil to his friend, Nor takes up a reproach against his neighbor; In whose eyes a reprobate is despised, But who honors them that fear Yahweh; He that swears to his own hurt, and changes not;" Psalm 15:1-4
Here is good counsel from the sweet psalmist David. All would do well to heed it!

A Support Group for Survivors
The second group that I came into contact with was the Assembly of Yahweh in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. I found that there was a unity of diverse groups with diverse beliefs there. They used the translation Holy Name Bible by Angelo B. Traina at that time. They have since published there own translation. They had an annual gathering there that they called a Unity Conference.
As time went on many other groups started useing the Name Yahweh or either broke off from existing groups and formed their own organizations. When I started accessing the computer some years ago, I found that there were many more groups than I had previously known of. Many I found in other countries. I had previously only had contact with many of these groups through postal mail. Since then the number of groups that use the Name Yahweh and the Name of His Son, YAHshua have rapidly grown. The many diverse spellings of the Names (Yahweh and YAHshua) and diverse teachings have also grown.
I have adopted many of the beliefs of these many groups, especially the use of the Name Yahweh in reference to our Heavenly Father and Creator and the use of the Name YAHshua in reference to His Son. I have also adopted the belief that we are to obey Father Yahweh's teaching (torah, law, commandment, instruction). We cannot truly know how His Name was originally pronounced because all we have are written records and not audio records. I accept the pronunciation Yahweh simply because I have found that most scholars of the Hebrew language agree with this.
The third group that I took interest in among the many groups that I had discovered was the House of Yahweh - Abilene, Texas. I still study their literatures and read their periodical publication 'The Prophetic Word' magazine. I also prefer to use their translation/transliteration of Yahweh's Word 'The Book of Yahweh'. Although I do not agree completely with every aspect of what is taught by this group, I find that there is much knowledge to be gleaned in studying their publications. I also appreciate their promotion of the Peaceful Solution.

I also find many other knowledgeable things from other religious groups and among the diverse Christian religions.
There are many beliefs that I have long since rejected from my Christian upbringing. Many of these beliefs I had rejected long before I came to the knowledge of the Name of our Heavenly Father and Creator, Yahweh and the Name of His Son, YAHshua.
One of the first doctrines from the Christian faith that I had rejected was the belief that Yahweh ("Jehovah God") came to earth in human form and the doctrine of the trinity.
