My husband and I lost our 2yr old black lab, Beast, today. He had been ill and hospitalized for two days until the Dr.'s found an obstruction that damaged his intestines and would have been too costly to fix. They said even if we did the surgery, his immune system might not have survived it. It was a tough decision and we are grieving hard here at home. I want to pray for his peace in heaven with God, that he have no more pain and that we, as a family can find peace again.

POSSIBLE LITTLE BITS OF CONSOLEMENT

I found these two quotes on the internet I hope they will help if only a tiny bit. They are so true.

I GUESS THAT YOU DONT REALLY OWN A DOG,YOU RENT THEM,AND YOU HAVE TO BE THANKFUL THAT YOU HAD A LONG LEASE.

IF YOU HAVE A DOG, YOU WILL MOST LIKELY OUTLIVE IT; TO GET A DOG IS TO OPEN YOURSELF TO PROFOUND JOY AND,PROSPECTIVELY,TO EQUALLY PROFOUND SADNESS.

MY HEART IS BROKEN IN TWO: My little Girl Dog, Molly 10 yrs old, she, was the most loving and kind little dog. She has been treated for hip problem for the last 3 years. She loved a lot of kisses and gave them back. She also loved for me to hold her little face and tell her every day in her ear, how much I love her. She was the sunshine of our life, and three days ago she could not hold down her food or water. I had to take her to the Vet. The Vet told me its her stomage, she tried to XRAY, but as it turned out the XRAY maschine did not work. The Vet told me she was going to be closed the next day. I had a constant feeling in me, and I belief now that it was God speaking to me, to get Molly out and bring her to another Vet. As it turned out the Vet did come in the morning she was closed and fixed the XRAY maschine. She told me there is nothing wrong with Molly she just needs rest a pain shot and an IV to replace the fluid she lost. I went to Molly open her cage and put her blanked for security, I put my armes aroung her and loved her again. She looked at me with such sad eyes, I weeped of all the spit and slim that came out of her mouth kissed her and told her that I love her so very much and she better get well. She looked at me with them beutyful sad eyes and I still had a very upsetting feeling. Well, I ignored it and that evening at 6 p.m. the call came. My beutyful little Molly had a heartattack.
I have hurt before, but never like this, I just cant stop crying. I know my little Molly is now with God and my other pets I had before her. I'm just hope my pain will go away, and that I can talk about her, think of her without crying and hurting so much. I know I will see her again one day, and that is some comfered to me. God is so good, and thank you Lord for sending this little dog my way, please, take her in your arms give her some kisses and tell her that her Mommie and Daddy love her very much. Amen

Please pray for all the wild snakes in the world. Pray that God will change the hearts of any people who would want to harm them. Pray that God would lead the snakes to hiding places where they will be safe from harm. Pray that the Lord would bring an end to "rattlesnake roundups" or change them to nonviolent events. Pray that there would be no demand for snakeskin products and that that cruel trade will end. Pray that snakes will not bite people, pets,or livestock. Then people and and animals would be safer and there would be less motivation to harm snakes. Pray that snakes would cross the roads safely. Pray that the snakes would see if a car is coming and people driving would see if a snake (or any other animal) is on the road and stop so it can cross safely. Recently five Northern Brown Snakes were hit by cars while trying to cross the street I live on. These harmless, gentle animals are in Heaven now. As hibernation season approaches, pray that snakes and other animals will choose good winter dens where they will not freeze or be caught by predators or hunters. Last, but not least, pray that people will all learn that snakes are not evil and would prefer to live in peace. They bite when they think you have food or in self-defense. That is not the action of an "evil" creature. These animals are loved by God as much as doves or lambs are. These snakes are not my pets, but they need prayer very much.

I DONT KNOW IF ANYONE WATCHES JOHN EDWARD ON 'CROSSING OVER' ON TV? HE IS A WORLD FAMOUS PSYCHIC MEDIUM. I WATCHED IT TONIGHT. ONE GIRL WAS TOLD THAT HER ALCOHOLIC DAD ON THE OTHER SIDE, HAD THE CAT WITH HIM AND HE NAMED THE CAT (PEANUT).
HE ALSO TOLD A WOMAN ABOUT A SMALL VERY OLD DOG,WHO IS STILL HERE ON EARTH (HE GAVE HER THE NAME OF THE DOG) JOHN SAID "I HATE TO SAY IT LIKE THIS BUT, HE (THE SMALL DOGGIE)IS HALF HERE AND HALF THERE,AND THEY ARE SENDING HIM ENERGY FROM THE OTHER SIDE"(IT MUST HAVE BEEN HER PEOPLE IN HEAVEN WHO WERE PREPARING THE FAMILY FOR THE DOGGIES PASSING.)
AND ANOTHER DOG CAME THROUGH TO A WIFE WHOSE HUSBAND HAD WAS KILLED ON A BIKE.JOHN TOLD THE WOMAN THAT IT WAS THE DOG FORM HIS SIDE OF THE FAMILY, NOT HERS.
THIS, I KNOW IS A MASSIVE COMFORT FOR ME SENT FROM GOD. And right now after allowing Elmer a rescue cat of 3 years to have the shots when I now feel GOD through my gut was saying not to but I did what the vet said and God is now just leaving the fighting (which began the day before Elmer died) in my hands. Please pray that GOD guides and I know what HE wants me to do AND DO IT CORRECTLY. I am now at a different vet but I do not want the dogs to hurt each other, or have to be given away. I have had them since puppies. My tears do not change what I allowed to happen to Elmer and I do not want harm to come to my dogs.
Also the new vet is watching the only other rescue pet Cat( I have had her for 4 years)for discoloration of her iris (possible tumor or stress or infection) since Elmer's death. One day my furry friends world was fine and then suddenly everything is not. Please pray for their protection and GOD'S guidance and their return to health. Hi
I made friends with simba a gorgeous chow 2 weeks ago, he was old and hungry and thirsty and lost and abandoned by it's owners. I got a call about him and rushed right over to help him. Everyone was saying that he would bite and attack me, but when I approached him he lay next to me. I fed him and gave him water he never barked or bite me, when I tried to leash him he cried out in fear of the leash, a sign he was abused. Animal control came and took him away. I kept checking on him, no one ever came for him. I put up posters everywhere, no one came. I took him treats, but in the end they said he was a chow chow and that they were aggessive and he was growling at everyone but he never growled at me. He was put to sleep by animal control.
So know he lays by someone else side. I wish I could of done more for him.

My name is Julia, and on Sept. 24, the worst thing that could ever happen to a 16 year old girl happened. I lost my best friend.

My dog was hit by a black SUV He ran across the street, just sniffing, and that SUV came speeding down the straightaway. I tried waving the vehicle down - I even pointed to my helpless friend - but the passenger and driver didn’t notice, or just didn’t care. My dog Smith almost made it, but his hindquarters got hit; the truck was going so fast that his shoulders and head swung around and fractured his skull and broke his jaw and leg.

We got Smith into a car, but he passed away in the back seat, 2 minutes away from the vet.

The vehicle that hit Smith didn’t decelerate and didn’t swerve - just kept a steady speed, and accelerated when it hit him, and drove away. I know to some a dog is just an animal, but to me, a dog or any animal has feelings. They feel pain, and they make a difference in everyone’s life.

I want to make something good of this horrible situation. The road is a straight run along the park, with numerous signs posted that read “Children at Play, Please Slow Down.” I feel it is a great area for the Town to put in speed bumps. Please Pray with me to make that happen.

My dog Smith has been a light for all of you living in Bradford: he was sacrificed so a child wouldn’t have to be.

I will never forget that moment. I’ve seen how some humans can be so cruel, but I know that not all humans are. Yes, humans do make mistakes - but let’s not make another when this one is preventable. Treat everyone as you would like to be treated, and help me create a safe roadway and a safe town for all.

Signed, Julia.

Maryanne, I needed your note more than you know. I believe because of JESUS that one day in Heaven there will be two cats playing who will suddenly run up to two ladies who had never met before on earth and they will say Maryanne! Ann! Let us tell you all the wonderous things we have been doing in Heaven!! And we will know how our Savior has loved E.T. and Elmer for us. How HE has loved all of those especially chosen to be pets. And to think HE loves HIS children even greater than that. He tried to tell me to not let them give Elmer the annual shots as they did not the year before but I listened to lab work results and not to the quiet voice of GOD. My heart aches so but I know Elmer is in Heaven and that JESUS has told him that I love him.I was in another room at home when he died facing the stool I always sat on as if attempting to find me. His lab work was so good I was in another part of the house making sandwiches for BIBLE study. I was not there with him when he died but JESUS was. I found him and rushed him to the vet attempting to do CPR but too late. GOD had attempted to warn me all day about the shots (in my insticts but with lab reports I just thought I was wrong) So as I travel this journey on earth I must remember to always give the glory to GOD because all Blessings are from HIM but to always listen out for HIS quiet voice. I loved all the time I had with Elmer. We must always remember to be thankful for the time we have with our pets, our families and friends and never forget how much greater than this does GOD and JESUS loves us. Thank you for your kind words.

A big, BIG hug for you Ann. God bless you and thank you. Maryanne

Maryanne, E.T. is in Heaven with GOD and JESUS with no more pain. And because of JESUS you will one day get to see and play with E.T. again by believing in JESUS. GOD especially made our wonderful pets our best friend or buddy for us. And one day in GOD'S time, we will be with them again. We must cherish our memories and when the time is right expand it to others. We will never stop loving them but because of our beloved pets we can and must continue to love. GOD our Creator loved them so much look at all the wonderful special things about our pets. the way they looked into our eyes, the way they loved and trusted us, they way they played, would sleep, smelled, run jump, their color and markings, they way they cocked their heads. Each so special so unique. Not another like them. so gentle and yet so protective, so understanding and yet so playful and always so forgiving. They are in Heaven now. Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you... I loved you so---"twas Heaven here with you. Remeber one day because of our love for JESUS we will be with our beloved pets in Heaven. As I cry my tears with you.

Please say prayers for a miracle for the physical healing (lung cancer) of my Scooby (cat, brown tabby with white patch around mouth and chin, 12 years).  If a miracle is not possible, or in his best interest though, then please pray for Scooby's complete healing and comfort at the highest level... one that will bring him peace and comfort and to be young and healthy all over again as he enjoys a new spiritual life.  Also please pray for his sister Shmoo (cat, white medium hair, 12 years), that she may understand the transition that is occurring with Scooby, and that she too be at peace, know that I am here for comfort, and continue to live a full, happy and healthy life.  And finally, please pray for me, Jackie, mom to these babies, that I can ultimately understand the "why" of all of this, but more importantly, to be able to fully accept what is happening and be mindful of the gratitude and love I have lived and learned with Scooby in my life.  Though I will always love him, and wish that I could change all this, I really need to be able to feel enough peace as well so I can "let him go", my Scooby... and let him know that it is "ok".  We will always be together, and the love we share will give me strength to be ok.

I think God directed me to this website today. I was lookng for answers. Was so hoping my Ricki went to heaven where she could run and play again. After reading this page, i feel better, cause i know she is in heaven. My sister found her, and her brother Fred, when they were 3 weeks old, and August 1, they both turned 14 years old. Found out today she had a big tumor in her lung, she was having a hard time with every breath. I had to let the vet help her. Felt like my heart was ripped out of my chest. I can't hardly stand this pain. When i carried the empty pet taxi in my house, i thought i was going to die. Please pray, that she is happy and running around in heaven. Can't stop these tears, i loved her so much.

Casa (14) our beloved cat, that I called her and treated her as my daughter and best companion, died from colon cancer four days ago. We did everything we could to help her. After many visits to the vet, family vet and internal specialist, we decided to have her go under surgery to remove the cancer. Less than an hour into the surgery the surgery specialist called us and told us that he removed the cancer, but the area was too large that he didn't think Casa would survive after the surgery. He recommended us to just let her go while she is in sleep.

We felt so empty without her. She has been the best and sweetest companion to me for 11 years (I adopted her when she was 3.). Her death brought me closer to God. I pray that God welcome her to His Garden, let her enjoy the sun and birds as these are her favorites. I pray that God allows us to reunited with her in Heaven. I pray that God comforts our broken hearts.

I believe in the power of prayers. Please pray for Casa and us. God Bless ~

I recently adopted a beautiful cat from the animal shelter I worked at. They deemed him unadoptable because he did like people. (It more that he was afraid of them as he accepted me for some reason.) I believe that God spoke to me about adopting him, and my room mate (who is also a Christian) will not let me have him in the house. It is her place and I can respect that, but my kitty now has to live in my car. I am training him to live outside as best I can, to teach him the neighborhood, until I can find a place where we can both live. My prayer request is that God will watch over him and protect him and that He will provide us (and my dog whom is able to live inside) a home where we can live together. I am starting up an animal ministry in which I hope to show God's uncondtional love through animals, and I feel lead by God to include this cat in serving Him. Thank you.

Please pray for my sweet "Pretty Girl" Sheba who crossed Rainbow Bridge on March 11th. I'm lost without her as she was my companion for thirteen years. I miss her so much because she was always there for me no matter what, any time of day or night, and she slept right next to me in the bed every night. I love you Sheba. xoxoxo

Please pray for me and my beloved dog Speck. He passed away March 9. I had him almost 11 years. During that time I lost my parents, my husband is an alcoholic, my daughter was in serious drug trouble, we almost lost my granddaughter. Speck was always there for me, faithfully waiting for me or if he could go, he was always ready to be by my side. He was my very best friend. He stayed with me through so much. When I layed down in the bed at night, he was always there beside me. This morning when I awoke I felt under the covers hoping for a miracle, that is was all a bad dream, but knowing better. When I came home last night I turned as I came in the door because I thought I could hear his tiny feet in the grass at the door. I opened the door only to see what I knew was already true. Thank you God, for such a wonderful, loving, faithful and precious friend that you gave me for so long. I pray that as I walk through heavens gate Speck will be standing there waiting, with that sweet little mischievous look on his face as if to say, "What took you so long? I've been right here waiting for you." I love him Father with all my heart. Please watch over Speck for me until I get there. Everyone please pray for Speck and me. My life is empty without him. Thank you.

Please pray for me and for the soul of our little Daisy, our beloved dog of 16 years who died on Tuesday of kidney failure & complications. At 4 days old, she and her sister Yoda lost their mama, so we bottle fed them and they were our family. They gave us so much love & enjoyment and just made these past 16 years really special. Yoda died last April. We miss them both, but losing Daisy this week has left me heartbroken. I pray that we will be reunited with our beloved pets in heaven. They received a blessing by our priest a few years ago. I trust in God's healing power to heal the pain I feel and (prayerfully) raise our little animals into heaven.

Please say a prayer for my beloved cat Rocky. She passed yesterday and I no longer have her after 17 years. She was the best friend anyone could have, loving me unconditionally through good times and bad. I miss her so much.

Please pray for my two little fur babies Java a chocolate persian and Ms. Tish a himalayan. Java is 11 and Tish is 14. Java has been throwing up and throwing up and now Tish is too. Java doesn't seem to have a bowel movement. we have been back and forth to the vet and the food has been changed at least 4 times. He has had blood work, and Thank you God, nothing was wrong in the blood work. I don't know what to do first Java wouldn't eat at all and last night he ate alot and then threw up again today and so did Tish. I am at my wits ends. And it is so expensive I am in great debt and absolutely without extra money. I don't know what to do, so can you please please pray for my little fur babies to get rid of these problems, and return to normal health.
Thank you so so much.
Amen

My 7 yr old cat, Metty has a bacterial infection are her chin and a yeast infection in her ears. I have to give her liquid medicine 2x a day and ear drops too. I am also to clean out her ears and under her chin. I was only able to give her medicine 1x today before work. It is hard to take care of her when she runs off and crawls underneath the bed. Please pray that God helps her to cooperate so that I may be able to help take care of her.

Thank you. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
