ARE YOU AS CLOSE TO GOD AS YOU WANT TO BE ?
Psalms 91:1-4
1-He who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2-I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust."
3-Surely, He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.
4-He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
MEANINGS IN VERSE (1-) STRONG'S EXHAUSTIVE CONCORDANCE
Dwells - To live as a resident, an abode, retreat, habitation, sojourn, remain, reside.
We can dwell in His presence, we can live in his presence. Acts 17:28-in Him we live and move and have our being.
Abide - To continue in a place, to stay permanently, to lodge to cling. We can choose to stay there permanently. The Lord wants us to. Walking my the Spirit and not walking after our flesh.
MEANINGS IN VERSE 2:
REFUGE - Flee for protection, to confide in trust, shelter, hope
FORTRESS - A fortified place, to make strong, to strengthen and secure, defense, strong place
The Lord would have us fully trust him for our protection, He is to be our strong place to run to.
MEANINGS IN VERSE 3:
DELIVER- To set free, rescue, to snatch from, defend, escape, preserve, recover.
The Lord wants us to be set free from all our bondages.
MEANINGS IN VERSE 4:
COVER- To guard from attack, afford protection or security, to spreadover something, protects, shelters or guards,
to fence in, to hedge in.
I do not know about you, but I want to be cover under his wings, to be guard from attack from the enemy. I want the Lord to spread over me His divine protection. His divine, and manifest presence. I desire to walk as He walked, to walk in His divine nature, under His wings and know the power of His resurrection. As the word says "in Him I live and move and have my being". That is walking by His Spirit and move when He moves and speak when He speaks, and go where He takes us. Totally depending on Him, the rest of Ps.91 ... if you will abide under the shadow of His wings then He will protect us.
ABIDING IN THE VINE!

ABIDING IN CHRIST:

THIRST- means- to be athirst, in drought
Are you thirsty for the Living Waters of the Almighty?
HUNGER- means- famish, crave
Are you famish, are you craving the Presence Of the Lord

He is waitng to give you so much hunger for Him and totally
fulfill you like you have never been fulfilled.
Are you in drought concerning your walk with Jesus?

NEARNESS TO GOD:

In these scriptures today it sounds like we have a duty to stay connected with the Lord. He instructs us to draw near to Him and He will draw near to us. He also tells to to remain in that position. He tells us also to seek His face and His face we will see.
So I exhort you today my brethren to seek the Lord and stay connected with the Lord, abide in Him, walk by the spirit, each and every minute of the day.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, I lift up those who are really hungry for you, those who want to know you intimately. Lord hear their cry O God. Draw them closer to You. Draw them into Your throne room, to bask in Your love and Your embrace. Let them sense your presence to such degree that they will continue to seek you with all their heart. Thank You Lord Jesus for doing it. Lord for those who are reading this and do not know you draw them in by Your Holy Spirit in Jesus name.
Lord Let your children know there is more than just salvation, Lord you are calling us to a deeper relationship with You. Lord you have so much to show us and to tell us.
Lord i want to know you ,I want to embrace all you have for me. Just you knew the Father and He knows you I want that same closeness with you.

WE'RE A POEM THAT GOD IS WRITING
We're a poem that God is writing
and this poet so sublime
Can make every verse complete
into a perfect rhyme.
And tho there now are portions
that we may understand,
we take comfort in the knowledge
that the pen is in His hand.
When the final line is written
to the masterpiece complete
He will add celestrial music
and compose a song so sweet.
That the angels that surround
Him will stop singing and just
stand in great awe and admiration
of the New Creation Man.

SEEKING THE LORD JESUS:
Seek-(means) VINE'S- to seek, inquire, consult (frequently) NT_(means) to seek for, to desire, coveting earnestly, striving after, seek toward.
STRONG'S- To inspect, admire, to search out, to strive to encounter, inquire for, to meet
I will be using New Living Translation for this study.
PREPARATION TO SEEKING GOD:
There is some good in you, however, for you have removed the Asherah poles throughout the land, and you have committed yourself to seeking God.
II Chronicles 19:3
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will heal their land.
II Chronicles 7:14
Preparation is to:
1-Remove all idols and commit yourself to seek God
2-Humble yourself, pray, and seek his face
HOW DO WE SEEK GOD?
From there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul,
you will find him.
Deuteronomy 4:29
I love all who love me. Those who search for me will surely find me.

WHEN DO I SEEK HIM?
Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.

The Lord looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if there is even one with real understanding, one who seeks God.

WHO MAY ENTER HIS PRESENCE:
Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill? Those who lead blameless lives, and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. Those who refuse to slander others or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends.
Psalms 15:1-3
Who may climb the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies. They will receive the Lord's blessing and have right standing with
God their Saviour. They alone may enter God's presence and worship the God of Israel.
Psalms 24:3-6
AS THE DEER PANTS FOR STREAMS OF WATER, SO I LONG FOR YOU, O GOD. I THIRST FOR GOD, THE LIVING GOD. WHEN CAN I COME AND STAND BEFORE HIM?
Are you seeking the Lord with all your heart? Are you hungry for Him just as the dear pants for water? Are you desperate for Him? Are you seeking Him while He may be found? Are you laying down your idols so that your heart will be pure before Him, so that you can enter into His presence? Are you allowing him to purify your heart from any unforgiveness? Allow Him to cleanse you, repent and be made whole. This is all about seeking his face not His hand.
Get before the Lord and humble yourself and allow Him to cleanse you of all unrighteousness.

WALKING WITH GOD:
WALKING- means- STRONG'S- pursue, journey, to carry, grow.
WALKING- WEBSTER'S- to journey about, appear, to come or go easily, or readily, to pursue, a course of action or way of life. Conduct oneself continue in union together, side by side.
After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters.
Genesis 5:22
This is the genealogy of Noah, Noah was a just man, perfect in his generation. Noah walked with God.

The law of truth was in his mouth and injustice was not found on his lips. He walked with me in peace and equity and turned many away from inquity.

WALKING IN THE FULLNESS OF THE KNOWLEDGE
OF HIM:
Jesus began to pray- to commune with God - to surrender himself TOTALLY to the plan and purpose God had for His life. He lived in constant communion with God. He would often rise up early in the morning and go to a solitary place to pray, after times of intense teaching and ministry to the people, He would find a place where He could be alone with the Father. It was in those times that Jesus came to know the Father intimately, to the point at which
He could say, "As the Father knoweth me, even so I know
the Father..."

FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM:
FELLOWSHIP- means- STRONG'S- Partnership, participation,
communicate, communion
FELLOWSHIP-WEBSTER'S- Companship, company, community of interest, activity feeling or experience.
So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them.
Luke 24:15
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled, and they realized that they had been with Jesus.

WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH:
" A time is coming and has now come when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth."
John 4:23-24
God Himself has placed in us the need and a desire to worship. God created us to worship.
Jesus said:" For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"
Matthew 6:21
God is looking to see if we worship from our innermost being, or is it an outward show, but your heart far from Him?
Let's look at the John 4:23-24 again: "a time is coming and has now come when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit,"
"in spirit"-- our inner being, or our human spirit. So worship should flow out from our spirit to the Father.
Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my innermost being; praise his holy name.
Psalms 103:1
You worship from your spirit because of your love for the heavenly Father. Worship to God that is from your spirit will be focused on God alone.
Jesus noted this with great sorrow in His heart when He said:" These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain.
Matthew 15:8-9
Have you ever been in church and you were singing the songs but your heart was somewhere else? I have and the Holy Spirit convicted me and right there I repented. Or ,maybe you left home upset and your heart was so burdened down you were not able to worship him? This is where the verse above
is talking about I would sing the songs but my heart was far from God.
WORSHIPPING IN TRUTH:
" I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through me"
John 14:6
TRUTH- is a person, this person is Jesus christ Himself.
"no one can worship the Father except thru Me"
Worship under the New Covenant is always through Christ,in Christ, and for Christ. To worship "in Truth" means that our worship is based on God's revelation to us in the Word.
He is the Word ,so how He reveals himself to us,who he is and what He requires of us. It is the truth of who He is,and the Holy Spirit takes it and shapes us into the kind of worshipper the Father seeks. In a church service or
worship service or even alone with God, we desire for God to speak to us. We want Him to speaktruth to us. If we are going to worship Him in truth we will be in the word daily.
Psalms 119:11- "I have hidden your word in my heart that
I might not sin against you".
My prayer:
Lord help us to worship you in spirit and truth ,Lord you are spirit and you are Truth ,Lord draw us to yourself.
Lord I want to worship you from a pure heart to glorify you in every step I take towards you. Lord I love you with all my heart and I want to worship you. lord cleanse us and forgive us when we have not worship you with our whole heart in spirit and truth.

JESUS DID THREE THINGS:
1-He did what the Father told Him to do.
2-He went where the Father told Him to go
3-He said what the Father told Him to say.
Are you asking the Lord what he would have you to do? Or are you doing what you want to, and then expecting him to bless what you are doing?
Are you going where your Heavenly Father is going, and is he is walking and directing you to where you should go? Or are you going and doing your own thing and then asking him to bail you out of trouble?
Are you saying, speaking what the Heavenly Father would have you say or are you saying what you want to say and hurting others in the process?
John 5:19
Then Jesus answered and said to them, most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what he sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, I ask that you would give us eyes to see and ears to hear what you are saying and doing. Lord, I only want to do what you tell me to do. I only want to go where you are and only say, what you want me to say. Help me to remember to ask you what you are doing, where you are going and only say what you want me to say. Lord, forgive me for all the times I went my own way and then expected you to bail me out. Forgive me for not saying the things you have told me to say, and forgive me for saying the things you told me not to say. Lord, forgive me for the times I did not do the things you told me to do. Change my heart O Lord, you know what is best for me. I choose to do your will and not mine.
I am reminded at this moment the scripture:

"for in Him we live and move and have our being"

PSALMS 63:1-8 WORSHIP
1-O God. You are my God; earnestly will I seek You; my inner self thirsts for You, in a dry and weary land where no water is.
2-So I have looked upon You in the sanctuary to see Your power and Your glory.
3-Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, my
lips shall praise You.
4-So will I bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.
5-My whole being shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.

SAMUEL LEARNING GOD'S VOICE AND RECEIVING THE CALL
I Samuel 3:1
Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli.
And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there
was no widesspread revelation. Vs.2-and it came to pass
at the time, while Eli was lying down in his place,and
when his eyes had begun to grow so dim that he could not see. Vs.3-and before the lamp of God went out in the
tabernacle of the Lord where the ark of God was, and while
samuel was lying down, Vs 4- that the Lord called Samuel. and he answered ,"Here I am!" Vs.5- so he ran to Eli and said,"Here i am, for you called me." and he said, "I did
not call;lie down again." And he went and lay down.
Vs. 6- Then the Lord called yet again,Samuel!" So Samuel arose and went to Eli and said,"Here I am,for you called me." He answered, I did not call, my son" He answered,
I did not call, my son; lie down again." Vs. 7- Now samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor was the word of the Lord yet revealed to him. Vs. 8- Abd the Lord called Samuel again
the third time. so he arose, and went to Eli, and said,
"Here I am for you did call me." then Eli perceived that the Lord had called the boy. Vs 9- Therefore eli said to Samuel," Go, lie down; and it shall be, if He calls you, that you must say,"Speak Lord for your servant hears."
so Samuel went and lay down in his place. Vs. 10- Now the Lord came and stood and called as at other times."Samuel!
Samuel" And Samuel answered,"Speak, for Your servant hears,"
A year ago about this time the Lord continue to give me this verse and now had brought it back to me .I would like to bring out some points in these verses.
1- Samuel was at a young age.
2- Samuel was given to God after his mother had him
3- Samuel was ministered to the Lord before Eli- Eli was his mentor.
4-Samuel was raised in the tabernacle of God.
5-Samuel had not yet heard God's voice but knew about Him.
6-Samuel was a servant of God.
7-God continue to speak to Samuel in order that he learn His voice.
8- God chose to speak to His servant Samuel and give Him a
prophetic word.
I Samuel 2:26-And the child Samuel grew in stature and in favor both with the Lord and men.
I Samuel 3:So Samuel grew and the Lord was with Him, and let none of his words fall to the ground.
I Samuel 3:20- and all Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel had been established as a prophet of the Lord
1-Samuel continue to grow with favor with the Lord and men.
2-Samuel grew and God was with Him.Every word Samuel spoke
was God's word.
3- God had chosen Samuel as a prophet to Israel.Prophet to a nation Israel.
Prophet-one who proclaims or tells a message he has received. a spokesman, herald announcer.
God is still calling ,anointing others to be prophets.
The cost is great because you have to be obedient to the call,and the walk of Christ. Everyone is not called to be a prophet because they do not have the backbone to stand up
and give the Word of the Lord. What really stood out to me in this teaching is that Samuel grew in stature with the Lord ,he was in instant obedience, He was trained by the best Eli and the Lord himself. Also not one word that Samuel spoke fell to the ground. I am right there because I am praying to God that every word that comes out of my mouth will be his and he will speak to me clearly and I will have favor with God.

IT's In The Valleys That You Grow
Sometimes life seems hard to bear,
Full of sorrow, trouble and woe It's then I have to remember That it's in the valleys I grow. If I always stayed on the mountain top And never experienced pain, I would never appreciate God's love And would be living in vain. I have so much to learn And my growth is very slow, Sometimes I need the mountain tops, But it's in the valleys I grow. I do not always understand Why things happen as they do, But I am very sure of one thing. My Lord will see me through. My little valleys are nothing When I picture Christ on the cross He went through the valley of death; His victory was Satan's loss. Forgive me Lord, for complaining When I'm feeling so very low. Just give me a gentle reminder That it's in the valleys I grow. Continue to strengthen me, Lord And use my life each day To share your love with others And help them find their way.
