Communion
In the New Testament, when the early church had communion, it wasn't a cracker and grape juice. They sat down and enjoyed a meal together. So in an effort to follow the early churches example, the first Saturday of each month will be "Communion Service", where we will all sit down and enjoy a meal together as a family of God, and do so in "Remembrance of Him".
This is a special service that begins with singing a couple of songs to praise God, followed with the breaking of bread and lifting the cup before we sit down together and enjoy a meal as a body of believers.
This is a Pot-Luck supper with everybody encouraged to participate, even if this is your first visit with us. An enjoyable time of fellowship with our focus on giving thanks for all that Jesus has done for us. So bring your favorite dish and come fellowship with us.
There is no sermon the week of our "Communion Service".
Our next "Communion Service" will be scheduled for March 7th and will still be held from 6pm - 7pm. This will be the first of 2 weeks of services to be held at Heights Christian Church, located at 17300 Van Aken Blvd in Shaker Heights, as we will be using the fellowship hall at HCC on March 7th and March 14th.
As promised, "The Point" will be a different experience than you may be accustom too, but we feel certain that you will find the difference both uplifting and fulfilling in your walk with Jesus.
