About

While we believe God calls each individual on their own spiritual journey, there are certain truths that are held self evident.  It is by no means a requirement that you also believe these things in order to attend The Point.  We will never ask you  to change your beliefs.  But these are the things we hold up as truth.

We believe in God, who has revealed Himself as the only true and perfect One, totally righteous in His ways and completely loving in His essence, eternally one as manifested in the three persons of the Trinity, that is, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that man was created in the image of God.  Because of the introduction of sin into the world by the rebellion of man, all of creation looks to the final day of redemption where history will be fulfilled in Jesus Christ and a new creation will be realized.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and infallible as the standard for life.  When interpreted in context and according to purpose, the Word of God gives life to those who are willingly obedient to its message.

We believe in Jesus Christ as the only Son of God, who was pre-existent with the Father, and of His own choice came to earth to be born of the virgin Mary, to die for the redemption of man's sin, to rise from the dead giving man victory over sin and death, and to ascend into heaven to intercede on behalf of His people as Lord.

We believe in the Holy Spirit who draws man to God through conviction of sin, persuading man to repent and confess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  Jesus baptizes man with the Holy Spirit, who reveals the truth of God's nature, purpose and Word.  The Spirit gives gifts to fulfill the ministry of Jesus, manifests Christ through various fruit, and unifies God's people as a witness in the world.

We believe in the universal church of Jesus Christ and the local expression of its nature, which is called by God to make disciples and to exemplify His Word in relation to one another, and so promote love that will cause the world to see and know its Lord.

We believe in the personal second coming of Jesus Christ as Lord of Lords and King of Kings to consummate history and establish a new heaven and new earth.

We believe that disciples are fully launched into the kingdom of God through the experience of repentance, water baptism and the reception of the Holy Spirit.  A life of obedience through submission to God's Word, the direction of the Holy Spirit, and the counsel of the body of Christ is then necessary to continue spiritual growth.

Again, it is not a requirement that you believe these things in order to attend our church.  We aren't asking you to change your beliefs, simply inviting you on a journey towards Jesus.
