About Us

True Hope Christian Fellowship is made up of a happy blend of all age groups. We truly love all people and see no distinction between age, race, gender, economic level or background.

Likewise, we welcome people of all denominational backgrounds and all stages of spiritual growth and understanding. Those who are "seekers" and those who have been believers for many years are equally welcome in our fellowship.

At True Hope we enjoy relaxed and informal worship services that include sound, conservative, Bible-based teaching in an atmosphere of love and acceptance toward everyone.

Jesus said that we are to love God and love our neighbor. One of the primary goals of True Hope is to demonstrate our love for God through worship and commitment, and to demonstrate our love for our neighbor through warm fellowship and Christian service.


Our History  

In response to God's leading, we began holding services in September of 1993. In October of 1998 the Lord blessed us with the opportunity to purchase our present facility on the corner of 18th and Elm in Forest Grove, Oregon.


Our Pastor

Pastor Pat James is the founding pastor of True Hope Christian Fellowship. He served as a part time self-supported pastor until October of 1997 when he began serving full time. He was credentialed through the Southern Baptist Church and is both licensed and ordained.


Our Denominational Position

True Hope Christian Fellowship is not aligned or affiliated with any organization or denomination. We believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God and as such, the only true and reliable source of guidance and education in matters relating to Christian life and church activity. We are determined to follow the doctrinal teaching of the Bible without confusing them with man-invented rules or traditions.
