GREETINGS
THE PLAN is a devotional style Bible Study in Genesis. Time and care have been invested to provide accurate historical and Theological information. The lessons are usually laced with nuggets of spiritual application. Occasionally there are passages which lean more to the informational side than the inspirational, but very seldom. These few times are for the purpose of providing a solid background for understanding.
These studies are designed to be short and yet pointed. Each lesson is short, but they are tied together and will provide insight, inspiration and personal involvement. You are welcome to contact us to share ideas, observations and ask questions. Honest investigation of the Word of God and serious inquiry are encouraged. As a ministry of The Church On Higher and The Higher Ground Web Church all who are seeking a clear understanding of the Bible and a vibrant walk with God are welcomed. Start in at the first study and work your way through at your pace. One a day is one way to do it. Pastor David and his wife Martha are eager to help you grow and for you to find your place in God's Plan.

MENU BAR INFORMATION
The MENU BAR to the left is organized as follows.
ADAM TO BABEL = section title, gives general location covered in the following studies.
PAGE 1 ADAM TO SETH (1-6) = "PAGE 1" indicates the page number. The numbers in parenthesis (1-6) indicates the chapters in Genesis from which the lesson is taken. Each page will have a number of lessons which cover the stated portion of Scripture as in our example; Adam to Seth.
SHORT STUDY FALSE RELIGION
PAGE 3 S.S./ORIGIN OF FALSE RELIGIONS #1&2 = Occasionally there are special areas of interest which I call Short Studies (SS). These veer from the Scripture portion being studied, but have direct bearing on the study itself.

EXPLANATION
I have called this study The Plan because God has ALWAYS had a plan for "the apple of His eye," meaning the object of His deepest affections. God knew from before the creation of man that His steps to establish a human family through Adam would be marred by satan's intervention and Adam's choice to sin. God had a Plan for Adam's rebellion from before the foundation of the world (Eph.1:4 and Rev. 13:8.). He was not caught off guard nor did He dream up a quick scheme to save man from satan's snare. It has always been in readiness for the time it would be needed.
We will see the plan of satan in operation as well. The plan of satan is to usurp the authority of God. We will see various expressions of his diabolic plan. satan's (I choose not to capitalize satan's names and titles and I try to always capitalize God's names and titles) plans are always needing to be adjusted because of God's Mater Plan. God knows all of the options, real and imagined, all of the possible contingensies and is more than capable of conquering satan's schemes.
The plan of satan begins in another "theater" but is brought into the human "theater". It begins with his own fall and proceeds with his hope to defeat Jesus. We should see in each "act" of the "event", not only the historical and theological aspects, but the practical aspects as well. From each act we should learn the Bible story and understand the message of God to us. "How can this help us live as we ought to for God?" should be asked and answered.
The Plan of God was not limited to the garden, or simply fufilled in the calling to Himself of a peculiar (distinquished) people or the establishing of a kingdom here in this world or the world to come. His plan is far beyond anything we could ever ask or even think. But at least we will start with this study.
