NEVER GROW OLD
by
Rev. S.R. Elwood D.D.
© 2000
I dreamed I was walking with Jesus
through Heaven the city of gold,
The city of God that city so fair
the city forever so old.
We walked past mansions so glorious
all Kingly with glory were they,
We walked so easy, no effort
Where there is no night only day.
Saved souls were gathered around us
Redeemed by the Blood of The Lamb,
Our robes were white and so pure
we bowed at the feet of, I AM.
For days this walk did continue
for Eon's it seemed we were there,
And yet in my mind the thought passing
For We Have Just Met Him In Air.
The Trumpet's resounding still echo's
Together towards Heaven we fly,
Excitement is peaked and now bursting
I see my new Home in the sky.
Awake now with Jesus I'm walking
Through Heaven the city of gold,
The city of God that city so fair
Where We Shall NEVER GROW OLD!

The Prayer of Repentance
This is the text of the original prayer delivered January 23, 1996 by Pastor Joe Wright to the Kansas House of Representatives in Topeka.
(Used by Permission for the Glory of God)
Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and seek your direction and guidance.
We know your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good," but that's exactly what we've done.
We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and inverted our values.
We confess that we have ridiculed the absolute truth of your Word and called it moral pluralism.
We have worshiped other gods and called it multiculturalism.
We have endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle.
We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
We have neglected the needy and called it self-preservation.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building esteem.
We have abused power and called it political savvy.
We have coveted our neighbors' possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
Search us O God and know our hearts today; try us and see if there be some wicked way in us; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.
Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent here by the people of Kansas, and who have been ordained by you, to govern this great state.
Grant them your wisdom to rule and may their decisions direct us to the center of your will. I ask it in the name of your son, the living savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

The following poem was written from a vision I was allowed to have of just what awaits those that do not accept the Gift of God's Only Begotten Son, Christ Jesus.
Tears were flowing down my face as I wrote this and it was so real I could smell the acrid smoke of the brimstone and hear the screams of those souls which were there for Eternity because they Refused the Gift of Eternal Life.
THE SOUNDS OF DEATH
by
Rev. S.R. Elwood
© 2007
I Hear An Echo In My Dream,
From Very Far Away
It Sounds Like Someone In Great Fear,
Trying Hard To Pray
I Listen Close The Voice Grows Clear,
The Fear And Pain I Sense
Then Soon I'm Seeing Through Their Eyes,
The Smoke And Fire Dense
Flames Are Roaring All Around,
They Burn And Cannot Die
Screams Of Torment Mixed With Prayer,
Screech Up Towards God On High
But It's To Late Once You Have Died,
If Christ You Did Not Choose
For Once Life's Gone So Is Your Chance,
Forever Friend, You Lose
Millions There Around I See,
Each Trying To Repent
Each One In Life Would Not Believe,
To Hell They Would Be Sent
I'm Back Inside My Own Room Now,
I Gasp To Catch My Breath
As I Remember Oh So Clear,
The Tortured Sounds Of Death.

Prophecy 6-12-04 9:40 PM
Jeremiah 23: 1 - 2 ( read 3 - 40 as a current reference of activities)
*1 ¶ Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.
2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.*
*Thus saith the Lord of Hosts, “Today, In This Age, unto those whom proclaim Power and Liberty, Falsely and for Gain in the name of my Only Begotten Son, which hast Redeemed Freely every soul which will but only Believe.”*
* * *
Every so often I have been allowed to receive dreams and visions of prophecy which have always come to pass and some which are still in the works of being fulfilled.
When they first started I balked at this, afraid to act and even doubtful if the things which were given to me were even real or just something I had dreamed up.
Whenever this happened someone else would very soon tell the very thing I had been given and I would know that I had failed miserably in a simple quest that my Lord God had asked me to do.
I began to realize over time that He speaks in many ways and always when we least expect or even want the message or job of relaying a message to someone whom has ceased to listen.
I even heard one of these messages which I knew was for me, the consequences of not listening being the loss of the horrible and yet magnificent ability, or duty if you will, which had been placed upon me.
I was quickly lost in a dream world of sorts as I saw what my life would most likely be like without ever hearing the voice of God again. I felt and even saw my soul shrink inside me until though I looked the same on the outside, I was but a husk in a very large field of corn and the cob inside this husk was shrunken and barren of seed.
Being human, I have failed many times since then in many things, but I have never to my knowledge failed to write a prophetic warning which has been given to me to write and send it where God has directed.
The warning at the beginning of this article was given to me during a reading of the scripture on the date and near the time listed. I have never had a prophecy fail and fully expect those that do not heed this warning which they know to be for them, to stand before the Lord God Almighty and explain why they did not listen when they had the chance.
I do not know who this is for, but if you know it is for you, do not hesitate to change your ways and preach the Gospel Of Jesus Christ as we are instructed by Christ Jesus Himself.
I pray that everyone who reads this will search your hearts and see if anything is out of place with God. If it is I urge you to take it up with our Advocate, His Only Begotten Son which Paid the Price and has Bought our Freedom and life Eternal.
Your fellow servant in the Eternal Holiness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ our slain Lamb, our Risen and So Soon Coming King.

LOVE CONQUERS ALL

When reason seems to fail me
And sorrow rules my day,
I wonder, “Is life worth it?”
As I walk upon my way.
Bad things seem to happen
Good things won’t be mine,
Rain clouds always o’er me
And the sunshine I can’t find.
But then I hear of Jesus
A man from long ago,
They say he died upon a tree
To wash me white as snow.
I ponder on this question
“Just what have I to lose?”
So I kneel before the rugged cross
And this Christ I freely choose.
The rain drops still are falling
And storm clouds buffet me,
But inside I am a changed man
For by the Blood of Christ I’m free!
I don’t regret the moment
When upon Him I did call,
Inside the storm there’s sunshine
For Christ’s Love does Conquer All.

OUR HOPE OF SALVATION
by
Rev. S.R. Elwood D.D.
© 2003
Our Hope of Salvation is Christ Jesus
Our Healing from the stripes that He bore,
Our sins are Forgiven Eternal
Our home is on Heaven’s gold shore.
Our banner the Cross that He died on
Our symbol the cold Empty Tomb,
Our strength His Blood and His Body
He shared in the famed Upper Room.
Our goal the souls that are wandering
Our mission that all should be free,
Our power the Blood that flows freely
From Calvary from Golgotha’s Tree.
Our weapon the sword of His Spirit
Our armor the Truth of His Word,
Our journey shall ever go forward
Till every lost soul here has heard.
Till every soul here has been given
The chance to repent or stay lost,
Till every person who’s dying
Knows how our King paid the cost.
Then we as our Savior before us
Shall rise up in the blue skies,
Where glory awaits all the purchased
Who repented with sorrowful cries.
O come to the stream that flows freely
O come to the Blood that does flow,
O come to the Cross of our Savior
Come now and be cleansed white as snow.

THE GLORY OF PRAISE
by
Rev. S.R. Elwood D.D.

Each time a flower grows and blooms
The Praise to God does flow,
Each time a seed breaks through the earth
Like Christ from tomb does go.
Each time the wind blows through the leaves
Of trees no matter where,
They sing their praises to the King
To Christ who’s always near.
Each time a newborn baby cries
Each time there is a birth,
We see the touch of God’s Great Love
He has for all on earth.
God gave His Son upon the Cross
That all souls could be free,
If only they would just believe
And kneel before His Tree.
The Cross of Christ upon the hill
Outside the city’s wall,
Where Jesus Christ the King of Kings
Died for the sins of all.
Kneel now before the Rugged Cross
Where ever you might be,
And call upon the name of Christ
Just Believe and you’ll be free.

WHEN SORROW BEGINS THE DAY
by
Rev. S.R. Elwood D.D..
© 2003
When morning dawns and sorrow reigns
When pain invades your shell of clay,
Remember Christ did suffer too
And rules in all you give Him sway.
When life seems not it’s worth the price
Open up the word and read,
Remember as you read and learn
Upon the cross The Lord did Bleed.
He shed His Blood upon that tree
He gave to us His All,
That if we read and learn His Word
Upon Him through our faith we call.
And when we kneel before that cross
And there we cast our woes,
Through us there before that tree
His Healing Shed Blood Flows.
So weep not for your pain my friend
Cast it to the cross,
And when we give to Him our cares
He will save us from all loss.
Pain is just a frame of mind
And though we hurt we cannot fall,
If we Believe upon His Word
And in that faith upon Him Call.

THE INFECTION of SIN
by
Rev. S.R. Elwood D.D.
© 2004
Our everyday lives are affected by our past whether we like it or not. Everything we have done and/or said is buried within our subconscious minds and they make their way into our thoughts and decisions.
If we who claim to be Christians are to live for Jesus Christ as we should, as the scripture says to, we must examine ourselves under the magnifying glass of the written Word of God. However without the Holy Word of God implanted in our minds by constant study, our past will run our present and condemn our future to the failures of our past.
All of us have things in our past that we are ashamed of. Things that we would have done differently if we knew then what we know now. Even if these things weren’t intentional or illegal they still affect us by infecting our thoughts and they must be dealt with according to the guidelines of the scriptures or they will prevent us from ever becoming what God intends for us to become.
We must have a daily ingesting of the Written Word of God if we are to live as God desires for us to live. Most people that call themselves ‘Christians’ never open the bible unless they are in church or they want to impress someone with their ‘holiness’. These people are ‘Christians’ by name only and do not contain the presence of the Spirit of the Living God and have never really accepted the Gift of the Holy Blood of Jesus Christ.
If a person is truly following Christ, if they are seeking a closer relationship with the Savior they will be in the written Word of God as often as they can. It is within the pages of this written Word of God, the Bible, that we find Christ Jesus. He is laid out upon the pages of this compilation of writings by the Prophets, Disciples and Apostles God ordained to write about Himself and His Only Begotten Son.
It is within the pages of the writings of these men of God in which we find the guidelines for living each day for Christ as well as life everlasting.
It is within the pages of this book we find the true history of mankind no matter what the so called experts say.
It is within the pages of this book that we find sadness unbearable as Christ Jesus leaves His heavenly Home and comes to earth and is tortured and killed by the very same kind of men that even now deny Him.
It is within the pages of this book where we find His suffering, His death, His Resurrection!
It is within the pages of this book where we must constantly be if we are to learn what He wants to teach us.
This Book is the Book of Life. This Book is the instructions for a life that is pleasing to God. If you are a ‘Christian’ and you are not in this Book everyday at least a little then you are not a “CHRISTIAN” and this same Book will testify against you when you stand before God Almighty.
You cannot learn anywhere else the things you need to learn to be a “CHRISTIAN!” If you go to school and never study you will fail. How do you expect life to be any different? If you are a ‘Christian’ you are concerned with yourself and how people see you.
If you are a “CHRISTIAN” you are concerned with the affairs of others and will do whatever it takes to tell them about Jesus Christ and the Gift of His Holy Blood that washes away all of their sin.
A ‘Christian’ is by name only, while a “CHRISTIAN” is such by the Holy Shed Blood of Jesus Christ and will do whatever it takes to show the Holiness of Christ Jesus to those who are lost and dying. We are taught in the scriptures not to judge, that if we judge we will be judged in the same way that we judge. A person is judged by the Scripture itself so a “CHRISTIAN” does not judge, they do not have to for an unbeliever as well as a ‘Christian’ is already judged by the Holy Word of the Living God.
A ‘Christian’ cares about self and self-image. A “CHRISTIAN” cares about everyone that is lost and on their way to hell.
Which are you?
If you do not judge yourself in comparison with the scripture and make the changes necessary to align yourself with the written Word of God, you will find yourself standing on the left hand of God at the Great White Throne with the unbelievers and be cast into the lake of fire.
Dig into the Holy Word of God and learn for yourself what God wants of and for you. Study to show yourself approved, a workman worthy of everlasting life.
2 Timothy 2: 15 - 16
15 Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
16 But shun profane, vain babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.
(MKJV)
* * * * * * *
The Power to live forever in perfect bliss without tears, torment or even the slightest discomfort lies within the Rugged Cross upon which Christ Jesus died and from the symbol of the Tomb from which He Arose. If we are to escape the terror of eternal punishment we must all kneel before this Cross and let the Holy Blood of Jesus Christ flow upon us and through us and then unto others to whom we are sent.
1 Corinthians 1: 18 - 19
18 For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will set aside the understanding of the perceiving ones."
(MKJV)

WHEN MORNING BREAKS
By
Rev. S.R. Elwood D.D.

When darkness reigns in fullness
And the daylight I can’t see
I know that morning’s coming
And soon so soon twill be.
So I plod on ever forward
Toward that distant eastern sky
Where the morning sun is rising
In the so near by and by.
I’ll keep my wick trimmed closely
So my lamp will shine so bright
And with oil I’ll keep filling
To give light into the night.
With hope I keep on going
That my work is not in vain
And I try to spread the message
Be Made New In Jesus Name.
For it’s for Christ that I am working
So that all might hear His call
Oh come ye weak and weary
To The One Who Gave His All.
Then someday when the dawning
Streaks the morning air
Yes when morning breaks eternal
I’ll be Home, Forever There.

HIS BLOOD FOREVERMORE

Amazing wondrous love so free
when ere I think of Calverys Tree
When this I know, He died for me
in wonder I reflect,
For though of flesh, He still was God
Whose Holy Feet strode sinful sod
Whose earthly shell a planted pod
I kneel with great respect.
Then on that day when I shall meet
When grasping nail pierced Holy Feet
When meeting Christ Oh what a treat
then home forever more.
When through the heavens I shall fly
When never more a tearful eye
When never more a cloudy sky
I’m safe on heavens shore.
Oh heed His Spirits Calling Voice
Prepare Right Now To Make Your Choice
Wash Your Robes And Then Rejoice
HIS BLOOD FOREVERMORE.

THE BATTLE
By
Rev. S.R. Elwood D.D.
© 2001
Silence smothered the deepening shadows with its oppressive stillness as the cool evening shrouded the landscape with its veil of downy mist.
The normal serenade of evening was missing as daylight fled past the western horizon, the shadowed hounds of midnight nipping at its heels.
The moon reached for the ground, seeking to run its silvery fingers through the fresh damp clover, only to be rebuffed and denied its pleasure.
Twilight fairies made of stardust flittered through the rising mist, riding the silver arms of the moon as it searched even still for but a touch of velvety green.
Darkness rejoiced in its victory and relished in the torment of creation under its oppressive domination.
It rejoiced again as the moon withdrew its silvery tentacles and slipped slowly toward the western rim.
Then..
Fear gripped the darkness as the eastern sky turned red, as the Sun battled its way forward.
Darkness screamed in fury as it realized the great victory it had won was now lost.
For as the sun began to break the eastern horizon, THE SON stepped forth from the tomb!
Bringing Life, Bringing Light, Bringing Peace, ETERNAL!

WHEN CRIES MY SOUL
by
Rev. S.R. Elwood D.D.
© 2003
Upon your knees for help you pray
What can you ask what will you say
Unto which person do you pray,
The world is so confused.
Some pray to gods of which none has heard
Some cut themselves, some pray to birds
Some scream and shout some mouth the words,
Who do you pray to?
Some weep for days and weeks no end
Some in the fire their prayers do send
Some cry till death, their will won’t bend,
Who do you pray to?
When cries my soul I pray to Christ
The Son of God who Paid the price
With His Dear Blood as the whips did slice,
That’s who I pray unto.
He hears my cry and draws me near
He holds me close and dries my tear
He takes away my strife and fear,
Yes Jesus Christ the Lord.
And then some day when I shall die
My soul shall fly towards home on high
Where never more a tearful eye,
Alive forever more.
But what of you when death you meet
When demons vile and burning heat
Where will you spend eternity?
Ask Jesus in your heart.

Weeping endures but for a moment
Pain endures but for a day,
Glory exists in all my tomorrow’s
In Christ’s presence forever I’ll stay.
Heartache lasts but for a second
Sorrow’s a vapor in time,
But Joy is eternal, forever unending
At Rest, in Heaven Sublime.
