Welcome to our website. Christ Chapel at Sound Retreat Farm and The Lighthouse are missions of the Episcopal Missionary Church (EMC). We worship liturgically, using the 1928 BCP and the King James translation of the Bible. We're a small group of committed and traditional Christians. Bridge collapse

Egener's Ferry bridge, the major access route to and from the southern end of Marshall County was collapsed by an out-of-the-right channel merchant vessel a couple of days ago. Approximately 300 feet of the mile-long span is now sheared off and wrapped around the bow of the incapacitated ship, parked several hundred feet north of where the rest of the bridge is.
More to the point, members and guests coming to worship with us at the Lighthouse will now (for some time!) have to take I-24 and come into the County from the north. That's an extra 35 miles, or so. I apologize for the inconvenience. I wonder if the Captain is related to the Captain of the Italian cruise ship?

Worship time change at Lighthouse

Our usual Sunday morning worship at the Lighthouse on Kentucky Lake has changed from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. This change will be in place through the winter season, and may become permanent, next Spring.

The Lighthouse Chapel

The Lighthouse Chapel no longer occupies a separate web site. Since almost all of us are the same people, whether at the Lighthouse or at Hiter Chapel, we're all part of the EMC mission that's named "Christ Chapel at Sound Retreat Farm", so we're in the process of integrating the two sites into one. Please check often, for changes are being made almost daily.
