Today as in the time of the Judges it seems that every man does what is right in his own sight. But as the Word teaches us there is a way that seems right to man but leads to destruction. I have always been interested in the fact that God say He will declare the end from the beginning. So in my time of study I always compare the Old Testament with the New to bring a full measure of light to my path.
In the story of Deborah we find a woman named Jael. A true heroine who gives us all an example of "nailing down the enemy". She took up the tools for laying down the foundation of her tent and used them securing a victory over the enemy.
Our weapons are not carnal but spiritual so we must not continue making noise by fighting among ourselves about who is the greatest or who is to blame.
A true "Sound of Freedom" should be heard within these temporary "tents" we call our body.
This is surely a time the church must arise and pull down the strongholds in our lives.
The Lord spoke to Jeremiah in Chapter 23:29 and asks?
Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
I say indeed the Word is both, a fire purifying our souls and a hammer to break the hard places of our hearts.
May we fasten our hearts in a sure place by taking up the Word and walking out our faith....fear keeps faith from activating but perfect love casteth out all fear and perfect love is this that Jesus nailed my sins on a cross and by His Spirit gave me a place in His body by accepting His sacrifice...I will take up the Word and spread the joyful sound! Jesus saves!
Do you have an ear to hear the Sound of Freedom...A Hammer in the Hand of a Woman....We are that woman Church....Spread the Word....The world could use the Sound of the "Good News" and the Truth WILL set you free.....
