The spirit that is worshipped here is the spirit of python,the pythons have a Sacred Temple in a Town called OUIDA,with priests,Priestesses and some devotees and attendants.This Pytons are regarded as sacred dieties and it is a sacrilage to killed it.This Python Temple is one of the most attractive tourist center in Benin Republic!
Benin is the only Country in the whole World that have a National Holiday for the worship of idols-10th January every year.
