Pastor Michael Wilder and Sister Tina have four children, three sons; Michael, Erik, Kristopher, and one daughter Mikayla. All have been gloriously saved by the grace of God!
Pastor Michael Wilder was raised in Winton Place Baptist Church in Cincinnati Ohio, for most of his life. At the age of 19, after some time of straying, he again visited W.P. where on May 17, 1987 he was saved. After a short time of struggle, he rededicated his life to the Lord. Sister Tina was saved a while later and was soon burdened for the christian school at W.P. In 1991, she left her job to begin teaching at Winton Place Baptist Academy. In 1998, an opportunity was given to Brother Wilder to work full-time at the school. Brother Wilder resigned his public job and began to work in the school as an assistant to Brother Joe Head. While members at W.P., Brother and Sister Wilder served as youth leaders. Brother Wilder was ordained as a deacon on December 7th 1996. He served 10 years on the school board before taking on the position of assistant. He served as songleader, Jr. church instructor, V.B.S. director, bus driver, "sound man", and a host of other positions. All of this was God's way of training him for the call that would come on his life to preach the gospel and pastor one of the Lord's Churches. In June of 2001 Brother Wilder surrendered to that call. Shortly after, Salem Missionary Baptist Church invited he and his family to come and preach for them as they were seeking a new pastor. After several visits, the Members of Salem extended a call to Brother Wilder to be their new pastor. Brother Wilder graciously accepted the call and is now serving as pastor.
I Timothy 1:12,13 "And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;(13)Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did [it] ignorantly in unbelief."
