He lifted me from my bout of despair
He lifted me from the valley of "do not care"
He lifted me and I am not ashamed
To give all Glory to His Name!
I'm free to sing
And free to shout
When I was down,
HE BROUGHT ME OUT
I'm free to shout
And free to sing
Because of the joy
His presence brings
I have been indeed set free
All because Jesus lifted me!
Now run I must and I must run
The race that was ran by God's Son
To do the work that's required of me
Because the Lord has lifted me.
