Our Lady of The Most Blessed Sacrament Orthodox – Catholic Monastery is located near Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on the original Saginaw Chippewa Indian Reservation. It is here that we hope to build this simple Shrine to Blessed Kateri. We need to raise the funds to make it possible and help to create this monument to this special Native American. Blessed Kateri is to be the first Native American to be canonized a Saint in the Roman Catholic Church. For those who do not know Kateri, take a walk through these simple pages and become acquainted with her. Share her love of the Creator and His only Son, Jesus Christ. PRAYER FOR CANONIZATION O God, who, among the many marvels of Your Grace in The New World did cause to blossom on the banks of the Mohawk and of the St. Lawence, the pure and tender Lily, Kateri Tekewitha, grant we beseech You, the favor we beg through her intercession; that this Young Lover of Jesus and of His Cross may soon be counted among her Saints by Holy Mother Church, and that our hearts may be rekindled with a stronger desire to imitate her innocence and faith. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen." ![]()
