The St. Mark

accept and heal

 

St. Mark Food Pantry distributes 20 tons of emergency food to 185 families within our service area each month.

St. Mark Resource and Referral Center offers: information regarding community activities; educational forums and outreach events.


TEFAP Commodity Program distributing to 500 Macomb County families each month:
Tuesdays 10:00 - Noon
Thursdays 10:00 - Noon

St. Mark Conference
St. Vincent de Paul Society 
provides crisis support to families within our parish boundaries.

 


St. Mark Clothes Closet      observes no geographic boundaries and provides our guests with clothing at no charge, as needed, based on availibility of donated items.

Good Samaritan Coalition        based at St. Mark Church. This consortium of community churches, businesses, agencies, and individuals, pools private and public resources to assist southern Macomb County families navigate and access human services to achieve greater self-sufficiency.

St. Mark Homeless Services    offers food, clothing, toiletries, telephone use, mailing address, bus tickets, shelter referrals, and assistance with goal-setting and forms completion for public assistance.  We also host the Macomb County Warming Center one week each winter.

 

AA and Al-Anon hold meetings three times per week.

Seniors                                            meet twice weekly for social purposes.
 

Focus: Hope Food for Seniors distributes food to more than 200 low-income seniors each month.

       Public Health Nurses                       offer cardiovascular disease risk reduction seminars to 180 low-income seniors each month, in conjunction with Focus: Hope Food for Seniors Program.

 

AIM Support Group Meetings are offered each Monday, at 6:30 PM enter through St. Luke entrance, in the St. John Conference Room 1. St. Mark is pleased to be the 8th location in the metro area to host this support group for people suffering with any type of anxiety disorder. Established 24 years ago in the metropolitan Detroit area, AIM offers tools, referrals and resources, education, occasional speakers, group discussions, field trips and teamwork for those who suffer from any number of anxiety disorders.
