HOLIDAY CONCERT JAN 6,'12
St.Mark Choir Holiday Concert'13

Decorating for Jesus

Something new!  Let's see what's new and some memories will show up here as well. As we get photos we will post here for the New & the Memories
St.Mark Gals

We try to do an informal brunch after mass as often as we can at local restaurants. Today we had a couple new gals joined us  11-11-12 at Big Boys. Collectively the wisdom is uncanny!! Our senior gal joining us this week was Leona ~ 90 and down to under sixty Donna is new as well.
 Hello~ Carolyn,Donna,Marlene,Andrea,Betty,Leona, and Jean.

Darquise Izak, a member of St. Mark Parish, Warren, said she had been hoping and praying for St. Kateri’s canonization.

Julienne Montour of St. Alfred Parish, Taylor, portrays then-Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha in the late 1990s.

Izak believes her own granddaughter’s survival as a baby was also a miracle brought about through St. Kateri’s intercession. She had begun praying after her daughter had been told the embryo was not in the womb and would not develop. But on her daughter’s next visit, she was told the unborn baby was in her womb and growing normally.

“I called her Kateri’s little baby, and now she is a very gifted and talented 20-year-old,” Izak said.

Fr. Stanley Obloj, St. Mark’s recently appointed administrator, said he was glad the parish could once again serve as one of the host facilities for the camp. He said the camp serves a good purpose, even though — with a mostly older congregation — only a couple of couple of the teens were connected with the parish.

Talking together during a break in this year's Listen, Learn and Live summer camp for teenagers at St. Mark Parish, Warren, are (from left) Maryous Esho, 15, St Joseph (Caldean) Parish, Troy; Tyrane Nelson, Protestant, 12; and Luigi Hernandez Zaldana, 15, and Jennifer Espinoza, 16, both of St. Francis of Asissi/ St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish, Ray Township.

Our Quilting Ministry makes the most wonderful colorful quilts and gives them to veterans groups. Here is Blue Star Mother's member Joyce Fabian with some of the recipients of these works of love.

This is such a beautiful photo showing one of the quilts with bright colors to warm a weary body
