This book was written for youths so that they can study it and know the divine will of God for their lives. The material was written in the Nigerian context but all youths irrespective of race or culture can use it.

Pastor Godwin

The Word of God is the light for our path and solves both our spiritual and physical problems. In our Lordís own words, He said ď Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of GodĒ Mt. 4:4.
Every born again Child of God must make the study of Godís word a daily activity so that we can experience and live a victorious Christian life. It is for this reason; the Lord strongly laid it upon me to begin writing Bible study Manual for the youth who are the bedrock in every Christian church.
It is also an extension work of our Christian Education program. Just like in a Bible school setting, many subjects are prepared to help students, equip themselves in many disciplines, which will end up informing them with well-trained mind and experiences for the things of God. No wonder Ecclesiastes 12: 1 says, ď Remember your creator in the days of your youth before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say I find no pleasure in them.Ē
I am writing thirteen-study material so that youth fellowships can use it for their Bible studies. Many youth wander from place to place in an attempt to find the true way of Bible studies, but only few have discover the right method or materials to satisfy their craving for pure spiritual word. This is good news that at least you who are studying the Bible along side with these materials will have the understanding that comes from God.
May the Lord Bless you as you study. Amen.

Pastor G.K. Ofosuhene.

TEXT: PSALM 40: 8, PS. 143: 10

OBJECTIVE: At the end of this lesson the pupils/ child
Should know what is godís divine will.

FEEL: Sorry for not walking in godís will and desires
to do so.

BE ABLE TO: Teach their friends to walk in godís will and
pray for one another

MEMORY VERSE: ďHe is patient with you, not wanting anyone to
perish, but everyone to come to repentanceĒ
2nd Peter 3:9.

Ozioma decided to travel from Onitsha to Lagos and spend the Christmas holidays with her Uncle Uchechukwu. She told the parents and was informed that it will not be possible to go now, because she was given only two weeks holidays to stay away from school. Moreover she is now preparing to write her final exams and have to attend classes. The parents suggested to her that after her exams, they would take her to Lagos to go and spend some days with the Uncle.

Ozioma at first did not accept the parentsí suggestion, but because she cannot do otherwise, she submitted to her parents will and obeyed. Our Bible Lesson today discusses Godís Divine will. What is the meaning of Godís divine will? It means to do what please God, to do what is in the mind of God and not to do what our mind tells us.
There have been so many things we have done and received wrong results, because these things were not Godís divine will. We shall learn the following.
1. What is Godís Divine will?
2. Feel sorry and Desire to walk in Godís will.
3. Help others to walk in Godís will.

There are so many things that are in Godís will. However, we shall discuss, what we study from our memory verse today. It is never the will that anyone will perish in sin. The Bible says, God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting lifeĒ John 3:16

If this is true, then it means God hate sin. What is Sin? Disobedience to Godís commandment. It was for this reason; Jesus Christ came unto this earth to die for our sins. He does not want us to perish but to have life. After Jesus death and burial, the Bible says, He resurrected again on the third day. Anyone who receives the Lord Jesus Christ into his /her life shall be saved. This is one of the ways to Godís will. Because Ozioma listened to her parents and did not insist that she should be allowed to travel reveal walking in the will of her parents.

Many a times if we as children want to do something e.g. go some where, buy something, make friends with somebody, want to have what our friends have and our parents tell us No, that is not good for you or wait for a while, we refuse and do what we like. This disobedience is Sin.

If we refuse to obey God by not giving our lives to Christ Jesus is Sin. In the same manner, if we do not listen to our Parents/ Guardians and insist upon going our own ways is also sin. In Psalm 40:8, the Bible says, ď I desire to do your will, O my God your Law is within my heart. ď This Scripture should make us feel sorry for not doing Godís will and seek to walk in His will. God is our creator and knows all things. He is all powerful/ and can deliver us, He is all-wise. God knows the best for us. We should learn to go before him daily with all that we want to do. Not only some things or when things become difficult. Ps. 143:10 says, ď Teach me to do your will for you are my God, may your good spirit lead me on Level ground.Ē Anyone who seeks to do Godís will is wise and God will bless him/her.

Your duty as a child of God is to teach other people to learn how to walk in the will of God. Never make friends with these who refuse to walk in Godís will. Psalm 1:1, says,
ďBlessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.Ē
If you want to know Godís will, then give your time and attention to Godís word. Study the word of God. Donít just read it or when you feel like doing so. Get a Bible that you can read and understand. Study the following passages Ps. 1:2, 2nd Timothy 2:15, 1st Peter 2:2, Now if you are here in class and have not giving your lives to Jesus Christ, the hour has come to do so, because it is Godís will for you.

CONCLUSION: The divine will of God is the only wise way for the saved and unsaved Child/ Youth should seek and follow.

COMMITMENT TIME: Pray for the youth/ Children given them questions like,
a) What did we learn today?
b) What did our Memory Verse says?
c) Ozioma obeyed her parents and did not travel. What do you think would have happened if she refused to obey the Parents and insisted to go?
d) Define Godís divine will
e) What plans have you made to walk in Godís will?
f) How can you apply the Memory Verse to your Life?

TEXT: MATTHEW 26:39, 42.

OBJECTIVE: At the end of this lesson, the students should.

KNOW: 1. That Godís will is always the best choice for man.
2. Manís will is not the best, because it leads to death.

DESIRE: To make it an authority to seek Godís will always

BE ABLE TO: 1. Make a list of prayer topics that are in line with Godís

2. Make another list, which are not Godís will.
3. Discuss these things with one another.

MEMORY VERSE: ď My food said Jesus is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his workĒ. John. 4:34.

John was a student of Aba Secondary School and very good in playing football. Because of his love for ball, John sometimes refused to go to school, but will leave the school premises with the excuse that he is sick. He will then go to town and play football with some friends.
His behavior was reported to the school authorities, which advised him on several occasions to take his books serious but did not listen. At last John was reported to his parents who advised him on several occasions to stop playing football and go to school. He refused to listen but do his own will and always tell the parents that they should leave him alone. Johnís behavior continued in this manner from day to day, until he became a drop out from school. The mother was not happy with him and cry and cry. One day as John was going out to play his football again, he was arrested, because they suspected him to be an arm robber and wee smoker. He was then sent to the police station for questioning. Because he refused to attend school, he could not speak good English to express himself. Johnís refusal to listen to the parents and school authorities is like doing his will as against that of theirs. In other words John is saying I am wiser than my parents and school authorities.

Last week we studied about, what is Godís Divine will? And this week by Godís Grace we are going to study about how Godís will can be compared to Manís will. What do I mean? The difference between the will of God and that of Man. In our todayís lesson, we shall discuss that,

1. Godís will is always the best for men.
2. Manís will is not the best because it leads to death.
3. Seek to do Godís will always
4. List prayer topics of Godís will as against manís will
5. Discuss results in class.

Godís will is always the best for mankind because in the first place, we need to understand that creation itself was created according to Godís divine operating not on their own but according to Godís will of creation. The living things on earth still exist today because God wills them that they should live. That is the reason why when our Lord Jesus Christ came on earth, He submitted himself totally to Godís Divine will.

Letís look at Jesus prayer at Gethsemane Matthew 26:39Ö ďMy Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will but as you willĒ Look at verse 42 ď My Father, if is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drank it, May your will be done.Ē We can see from the two passages that Jesus submitted himself totally to the Divine will of God for his Life. Question; what will have happened if Jesus were to refuse walking in Godís Divine Will? I believe there will not have been any salvation for mankind and all of us will have continued to live in sin. The Divine Will of God in Christís Life brought out the best for him and the whole world.

It is always said that, because we were created in the image of God, we have been given a measure of a will therefore anything we chose to do should never be send to God and asking him to let his will be done.
There is a kind of truth in that but we should understand that when man sin and disobeyed God, our human nature became totally depraved and hostile towards the things of God. Read Proverbs 14:12, Isaiah 55:8,9; Romans 3:10 Ė 12; Romans 8:7.

Infact if we want to please God and receive his blessings upon our Lives, then we must desire to do Godís Will Always, our Memory Verse teaches that, Jesusí food is to do the Will of the Father and to finish his work. Our human nature may want to have something, but we would realize that as a child of God, that is not the best way for you, Even if you have never given your life to Christ Jesus, you are still not walking in the Divine Will of God.

Below are lists of things we can consider that are both Godís Will and these that are Manís Will.

1. Salvation Luke. 19:10 Wickedness 2nd Kings 17:11
2. Life Jon 10:10 Pride Proverb 16:18.
3. Blessing Deut. 28:1-14 Greediness Prov. 15:27.
4. Good health 3rd Jon 2 Destruction Mt. 7:13.
5. Prayer 1st Thess.5: 17 Unbelief Heb. 3: 7-11.
6. Giving Luke 6:38 Robbery Is. 61:8.
7. Worship 1st Chron. 16:29 Idol worship Is. 44:9-18
8. Forgiveness Mt.18: 21,22 Magic Ezekiel 13:20.
9. Bible study 2nd Timothy 2:15 Murder Proverbs 28:17.
10. Long Life Eph. 6:1-3 Evil thoughts Mt. 9:4.

From our lesson today we saw how John, a student of Aba Secondary School chose to walk in his will against that of his parents and school authorities. The teacher is to lead children in discussion by comparing Godís Will with manís will and see the results.

Godís Will is always the best choice for man and every child of God should seek for it. Even anyone who have not accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and Lord should seek Godís Will by giving his/ her Life to Christ. Let us forsake our own ways

TEXT: EPH. 5:15; JOHN 7:17; Mt. 7:21; Mt. 12:50.

OBJECTIVE: At the end of these lesson the student should

BE ABLE TO: Know rewards in Godís will.
Desire always Godís will for his/her life.

A. Pray for Godís will by using last weekís Bible lesson.
B. Say to the class or one another what God is doing in his /her life, family, church, society or school.

MEMORY VERSE: ď Therefore do not be foolish, understand
What Godís will is ď Eph. 5:17

One day Susana a girl of about 17 years decided to stop school and go into trading because she thinks to attend school is time wasting and more over it will also prevent her from getting things she wants in life. The parents who were Christians thought her friends are misleading Susana. They told her that they really appreciate her decision to go into trading, but they thinks it is not yet time to do so, because it will make her not to be experience and more-over she is still a young girl. They encouraged her to exercise patience and wait for Godís appointed time. They also made her top understand that education will develop her so that she can be able to interact with people in Society. Above all she can communicate to both intellect and emotions when confronted with everyday problems.
Susana listened to the advice given by the parents and said, ďThis is the will of my parents concerning my life, why should I not walk in it?Ē Our lesson for today ask ourselves, Why should we walk in the will of God?. If our minds decided to do something why should we not obey it but submit to Godís will? Are we not created in the image of God and therefore have the right to do what we think is right? Letís answer these questions under the following points.

1. Rewards in Godís Will.
2. Desire the will of God for your life.
3. Enumerate services that conform to Godís Will in society, Home and church.

Our memory verse says, ďTherefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lordís will is ďEph. 5:17 from the passage, it is abundantly clear that a person who walk in the will of God is not a fool. You are people who do not lack good sense or judgments.
You make correct discernment of things and know how to conduct yourself properly with patience and trust in God. Jesus Christ called a young rich man whose account is in Luke 12:13-21 a fool because the young man thought, his whole life consisted in the abundance of great possessions, while he was making plans to seek for more pleasure- eat, drink and be merry, he was to come home in glory for accountability. Then who will get what he has over the years prepared for himself? This is doing things without considering what is the mind of God or the outcome.

It is very rewarding to do Godís will because it enables you to know and understand teachings that are of God and those that comes or belongs to men, Further more because you know Godís will whatever you pray for receives an answer study John 7:17, 1st Jn. 3:22. In Heaven, what takes place there is the Divine will of God, Therefore, our Lord Jesus Christ taught us to pray that ď YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN MT. 6:10Ē. He / she who does the Will of God is truly born again and knows God.

If the Will of God is very rewarding, then wee must it our priority to desire to walk in the will of God. Psalm 40:8 says, ď I desire to do your will, oh my God; your law is within my heart.Ē A desire to walk in the Will of God means to hunger the thirst for righteousness, it also means like a dear panted for streams of water or a Soul thirsting after God the creator. Read. Mt. 5:6; Ps. 42:1-2. If we desire to walk in the will of God, we have assessed to enter into the kingdom of Heaven and the privilege to be called members of Godís spiritual family. Read. Mt. 7:21; Mt. 12:50.

(A) GODíS WILL IN SOOCIETY: Godís Will for the society is that we live at peace with one another, Love one another, bear one anotherís burden, above all fear God and keep his commandments. We are also to pray for those in authority for good governance.

(B) GODíS WILL IN THE HOME: It is Godís desire that, there is mutual love between Father, Mother and children. Besides that Godís desire for the families is that we live at peace with one another. This is not so in some families because the devil has taken an absolute control over their lives. It is always befitting for families to walk in the fear of God.
(C) GODíS WILL FOR THE CHURCH: God wants the church to carry on with the work he left down for the Apostle. The will of God for His church is to reconcile us unto Christ Jesus. The work of reconciliation must be done through the propagation of the Gospel and Teaching. Godís will is to present a church unto Himself which is without spot, wrinkle or blemish. He promised to be with us unto the end of the age. Mt. 18:28 Ė30

To walk in Godís will means to obey God and His commandment. You draw unto yourself Godís favour and blessing. You open the windows of Heaven and the heavenly light of Christ in God shine upon you. Godís will brings the presence of the Holy Spirit on our way. Letís desire to do His perfect will, so that we can always carry where and every time attracts the blessings of God upon our Lives. Faithful is He that called us and it is He that will perform to enable us knows more about Jesus Christ.

TEXT: HEB. 10:5-7; JN. 17:2.

OBJECTIVE: At the end of this lesson the student should
Know: the redemption plan of God.

Desire: to speak to others about Jesus Christ.

Be able to: Write out John 3:16-18 after that learn to read it as godís will for the world.

MEMORY VERSE:- ď For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.Ē Jon. 3:16.

Recently the President of United States of America visited this country. When he was asked why he came to Nigeria, he said, ď the reason why I came is to help Nigerians solve some of their problems. Such as, how to live a better life, have good health, good roads, live at peace with one another and help the poor peopleĒ
The coming of the President in short was to help Nigerians. This is what we call the Presidentís Will, A Will in another way can be call a desire or wish. Just as the United
States President desire or have good wishes for Nigerians, our God, the creator of Heaven and Earth has His Will for the World.

What is Redemption? To buy back or pay the full price for something which is the ownerís property. The Bible says, ďWe were all sinners and have come short of the glory of GodĒ Romans3: 23. We were Godís own property but because of our disobedient we got lost and when god do not want us to remain in our sinful state, He came out with a Redemption plan.
Hebrews 5:7 say, ď I have come to do your Will, O God. ď What is that Will of GOD?

1. To seek and to save those who are lost in sin. Luke. 19:10
2. To give us life and give it more abundantly Jon.10: 10, Jon. 17:2
3. To solve our problems for us Mt. 4:23-25.
It is because of these reasons our Saviour Jesus Christ came unto this earth with His redemption Plan by dying on the cross. His blood cleanses us from all Sins.

As Children of God, it is our duty or responsibility to speak to others about Christ. These people may be your friends at School brothers and Sisters, parents or any of our relatives.
You can only talk to somebody to give his/her life to Christ if you are born again. Do you know that there are many people today who are still not Christians? Some people still bow down to gods of wood, stone, tree, river, etc. Millions of children are there today who have not known Christ. Who will tell them of Jesus love and the Heavenly?
Mansions waiting above? Who will tell them of Jesus death, burial and resurrection? Nobody except you and I.

Susana and Grace are very good friends. They attend the same school and church. They loved the Lord Jesus Christ and therefore express their faith in Christ by talking to others about Him. By so doing, Susana and Grace have brought so many boys and girls to Christ. Many of their converts attends Sunday school with them.
The message of Susana and Grace are ďI love Jesus because He first loved me, Why not give your life to Jesus Christ?Ē

From John 3:16 Ė18 we see why Christ came.

1. Objective Ė God loved the world
2. Plan- That He gave His Only Son.
3. Action- whoever believes in Him.
4. Reward Ė Shall not perish but have Eternal Life.
The Son did not come into the world to condemn but to save. The one who believes is not condemn. It means condemnation are only for those who refuse to believe in Christ Jesus. Whose deeds were evil because they loved darkness instead of Light?

The Will of God for the World is redemption. As a result of that we need to speak to others about Jesus Christi that God loves us by sending His Son to die for us. If we believe in Him we shall be save.

OBJECTIVE: At the end of this lesson the student should

KNOW: That Christ loved the Church and gave Himself up for her.

DESIRE: To keep the Unity in the Body of Christ.

BE ABLE (1) To identify and list the spiritual gifts in the body of Christ

(2) Pray for the Will of God to be done on earth as it is in Heaven in the Body of Christ.

MEMORY VERSE: ďMake every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peaceĒ Ephesians 4:3.

Our lessons for today discuss Godís will for the Church.
A. Church can be define as
1. An association of professing Christians and for building in which they worship.
2. Assembly as the body and the bride of Christ.

The Bible in Eph. 5:25, Christ loved the Church and gave Himself up for herĒ This has some purpose.
1. To make her holy Vs. 26
2. Cleanse her by the washing with water of the word vs. 26.
3. To present her to Himself as a radiant Church. A church that has no stain (to damage sbís character) wrinkle (small fold or line the skin), blemish (a mark or fault spoiling 5th that is otherwise beautiful or perfect), but holy and blameless.
When Christ came unto earth, He spoke to declare that the gates of hell couldnít prevail against the Church of the living God. He therefore, went to the cross of Calvary to die for the church that He loved. After His death, He commissioned the Church to carry the message of the cross to the whole world. This is the greatest business of the whole universe.

Christ is preparing a wife for Himself now. So He is making every effort to make His wife (the Church) to walk in his path of Holiness. If Christ loved and gave Himself for the Church, then we also as His dear ones will have to love and give ourselves to preach Christ and love one another.

It is always said that in unity lies strength. In Eph.4: 3-6 the Bible says ď Make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one spirit- just as you were called to one hope when you were called- one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in allĒ.

To keep unity in the body of Christ is also Godís will. Paul describes the body as one by using the human body. It has head, eyes, nose, mouth, hands, legs, feet etc. All the parts are joint together on the body.

The reason why the Body of Christ is one is because there is one spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all. In John chapter 17, Jesus prayed that, ďÖSo that they may be one as we are oneĒ.

The body of Christ is not particular denomination (a religion group or sect) e.g. Christ Holy Church International. Neither is a sect of religious groups e.g. Organization of African Instituted Churches or Pentecostal Association of Nigeria etc. The Body of Christ is born again Christians who belong to Christ by one Spirit. Therefore, the religious groups or section are made up of Christians who belong to the body of Christ

In order top do things in keeping with the Will of God, He gave the church gifts. These are called spiritual gifts of
1. Wisdom - The ability to make good and serious judgment because of oneís experience and knowledge.
2. Knowledge Ė The facts information, understanding and skills that a person has acquired through experience or education.
3. Faith- Trust, complete confidence.
4. Healing Ė To become or make something healthy again.
5. Miraculous Powers: Surprising and welcome act or event which does not follow the known laws of nature and is therefore thought to be caused by God.
6. Prophecy- A statement that tells what will happen in the future.
7. Discernment- The ability to perceive, know or find out something.
8. Speaking in Tongues Ė The ability to speak a strange or language of another race or culture with or without any meaning.
9. Interpretation of Tongues:- The ability to interpret speech of whatever form it comes in rhythm. Godís will for the church is to use the spiritual gifts to build the body of Christ.

God has a divine Will and Purpose for His Church. That is why He loved the Church and gave Himself up for her. He wills it also that the body be in unity and to build it up by using the spiritual gifts Christ prayed that through the Body the Will of God be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

What is the Role of the Five Fold Ministry in the Body of Christ? Read Eph. 4:11-13.
They are to prepare Godís people for works of service till we reach unity in the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature and attain to the full measure of Christ. This is also the will of God for His Church. Praise God.

OBJECTIVE: At the end of this lesson the student should

KNOW: How Jesus spent His life as a Youth

DESIRE: Hard work as a Youth.

BE ABLE TO: List some of the Bible Youth and their achievements.

MEMORY VERSE: ďRemember your creator in the days of your Youth..Ē Ecc. 12:1a

A Youth can be considered or described as a young boy or girl. Some people even say a youth is anybody who is very strong and healthy no matter his/her age. Our lesson today will discuss what is Godís divine will for the Youth. We shall look at three things.
1. Jesus life as a Youth
2. Work hard as a Youth
3. Some Achievement of Bible Youth.

Jesus Christ was born by the Virgin Mary. His Foster Father was Joseph. The Bible says Jesus as a young boy grew in Wisdom, Stature and in favour with God and men. What does it mean?
1. Wisdom means the quality of being wise
2. Stature means the importance and reputation gained by ability or achievement.
3. Favour means approval or support.

At the age of twelve years Jesus was at the temple and reasoning with the Pharisees and Teachers of the Law. His life as a youth was obedience to His parents and love for the temples of God and reading of the Old Testament books of the Bible.
It is always said that whatever one starts doing right from his /her youth turns to be part of that person. If the youths is good, then that life of goodness will follow the person all the days of his / her life. But if the youth is bad, then that life of evil purpose becomes his/her portion.

Whatever you shall become tomorrow depend largely upon what you use your life for today. Because Jesus loves the things of the Lord, He obeyed God, parents and people around Him, so He pleases God.

In order to please God and be bless a youth is demanded to work harder at the things of God through desire.
1. A youth must desire to receive Jesus Christ as his personal saviour and Lord.
2. A youth must read his/her Bible everyday and pray fervently that whatever lessons the word of God says will be come part and parcel of his/her life.
3. A Youth must tell other people about Jesus Christ and show them that Jesus loves everybody.
4. A youth must play active role in the church by becoming a member of choir, gospel band, or attending Sunday school.
5. At school a youth must study hard, do his/her school assignments well and on time.
6. In the house a Christian youth must behave well at home and perform every duty that is assign for him/her.
7. In the society a Christian youth must shine like Christ by living good lives and avoiding bad friends.

These and many more a Christian Youth can do through hard work, purpose and perseverance. This is the will of God for the Youth

Through hard work, commitment and endurance, some youth in the Bible did many great things that we shall discuss in our study.

1. Joseph Became the prime Minister of Egypt in the.
days of Pharaoh
2. David Defeated Goliath and became King of Israel.

3. Moses Became the man God chose to lead Israel
from Egypt bondage.
4. Daniel Became a great ruler in the days of King
5. Asa He was the King of Judah. He did what was
good in the eyes of the Lord
6. Timothy He became a servant of Christ.

7. Solomon A great King of Israel. A man full of Wisdom.

8. Gideon He was a Judge of Israel.

9. Joshua He took over from Moses to Lead the
Israelites unto the land of Canaan.

10. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego The three Hebrew Great men of Faith who were thrown into fiery furnace but did not die.

It is the Will of God for you as a youth to fear God and keep His commandments. Let the Lord lead you in the path of righteousness. Find out Godís Will concerning your life through prayer and reading of the Word. It shall be well with you if you do these things.

TOPIC; Godís will concern His Word.

TEXT: 2ND Timothy 2:15; 1st Peter 2:2.

OBJECTIVE: At the end of this Bible lesson the student should

KNOW; 1. The word of God is Godís thought expressed.
2.Heaven and Earth will Pass Away but Godís Word Will Stand
DESIRE: To study the word of God and put it into practice.

BE ABLE TO: To teach others Godís Word on Godís Love, Sin, Precious Blood of
Jesus, and Repentance, Jesus second return and Heaven.

MEMORY VERSE: ďLike newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you
may grow up in your SalvationĒ 1st Peter 2:2.

Do you love the word of God? How much time do you spend by reading or studying it?
Jesus said Man shall not live by bread alone, but on EVERY WORD that comes from the mouth of God. Infact Godís Word is living and active, Sharper than any double Ė edged sword, because the effect of know the mind or Will of God, then we are to devote our time and attention to the reading and studying of Godís word.

The word of God is our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Lord Jesus Christ is the word of God. In Hebrew 13:8, the Bible says ď Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for everĒ The lord does not change and every word of Him remains unchanged. No matter how long His Word delays, it will surely come to pass. The reason why His Word will not change but stand is because HIS WORD IS HIS WLL AND HIS WILL IS HIS WORD. If the word of God should fail to stand, then it means God is no more God. He is no more the Almighty, the Omnipotent (All Powerful), Omniscience (All Knowing, Omnipresent (Present Everywhere), Titus 1:2 says GOD DOES NOT LIE. Since this is true, we can confidently put our trust in him and we will never be put to shame. The man, woman, boy or girl who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him, is called BLESSED AND NEVER put to shame.

Godís will concerning His word is that if we remain in Him and His Words remain in us, when we ask whatever we wish, it will be given to us. This is to the Fatherís glory, that
1. We bear much fruit by allowing ourselves for Godís Word (SEED. Luke 8:11) to remain in us
2. We show ourselves as Christís disciples (FRIENDS Jon. 15:13)
If the word of God will stand, then we are to crave (to have a strong desire) pure spiritual milk, (which is the word of God), so that by it we may grow up in our salvation.

What is the meaning of the word PRACTICE? To do something repeatedly or regularly in order to improve oneís skill. In Ezra 7:10, the Scripture says
ďFor Ezra had devoted himself to the study and observance of the law of the Lord and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel.Ē

In 2nd Timothy 2: 15, the Scripture says, ď Study to show thyself approved unto God. A workman who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truthĒ. To study means, the activity of learning or gaining knowledge: We are to develop love for the study of Godís Word. Jesus commanded us to, Go and make disciples and teach them to obeyÖ ď Mt. 28:18- 20. We can only go and teach others if we study the word of God.
Apart from studying Godís word we are to put into practice what we learn.

Joshua 1:8 says,
ď Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that, you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful Jon. 14: 23, 24 says.
Jesus replied, ďIf anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching ---- He who does not love me will not obey my teachingÖĒ

Obedience to Godís Word shows that one love God and our Lord Jesus Christ. This is Godís will concerning His Word.

To him much is given, much is required. It is for this purpose the Lord has given to His Children the work of teaching the word of God.
One of the ministry work of our Lord Lord Jesus Christ when on earth was to teach people the word of God. The scripture says in Mk. 6:34 that, ď When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So He began teaching them many things ďIt is also our duty and responsibility to teach those of our fellow brothers and sisters in and outside the faith many things from Godís Word.
We are to teach them topics like
1. Godís Love
2. Sin
3. Precious Blood Of Jesus
4. Repentance
5. Jesus Second Coming
6. Heaven.

The study of Godís Word is of great benefits Godís will concerning His Word is that?
1. We study to know about Godís plan for us.
2. We study to teach others about Godís Plan for them.
3. We put into practice what we have learned so that the Lord will answer our prayers. We shall bear much fruit and be calling the Children of the Most High.

TOPIC; Godís Will in Prayer

TEXT: Jon. 15:7, 1st Jon 5: 14

OBJECTIVE: At the end of this lesson, the student should.

KNOW; 1. God listens to and answers prayer.
2. Prayer explains Godís Will to us.
DESIRE : To pray without ceasing.

BE ABLE TO: 1. List prayer topics according to Godís will.
2. Teach others to pray.

MEMORY VERSE: ďThis is the confidence we have in approaching God; that if we ask
anything according to His Will, He hears usĒ 1st Jon. 5:14.

The only way Christians can communicate or talk to their Father in Heaven is through prayer. In order to pray and receive answers, we need to know the Will of God concerning what He wants His people to ask Him.
You cannot tell your parent to buy you a car when you know their condition and what they can afford for you. And again your parent cannot give you your heart desire if you do not fulfill their wishes for them.
Our lesson for today focus on Godís will in Prayer.

Psalm 65:2 says,
ď O you who hear prayer, to you all men will comeĒ
Psalm 102:17 says,
ď He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; He will not despise their plea.
Proverbs 15:29 say.
ď The Lord is far from the wicked but He hears the prayer of the righteousĒ.
These scriptures teach us that our God Listens and answers our prayers. But the condition is that He hears the prayer of the righteous.
Who is righteous person? Read Ps. 15.
A righteous person is the one who has repented of his/her sin and has accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his/her personal Saviour and Lord. In 2nd Corinthians 5:21, the Bible says, ď God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of GodĒ James 5:16 says,
ďÖThe prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.Ē God listens and answers our prayers if we only we would desire to be righteous and pray, for this is Godís will for us.

God do not in any way change His mind concerning His word. Whatever He sis 6,000 years ago or what He promised will be cannot in any what change. These enable us to know that the way things happen on Godís Children is nothing but the divine will of God. Read Romans 8:23-30. The passage explains or teaches us the following truths that
1. Everything that happens to the Child of God is good because it is Godís will Vs 28.
2. We have been called by God to conform (to agree or be consistent) to the image of Christ Vs 29.
3. We have been called so that we shall be justified (declare righteous) and glorified (put into Godís service for Godís Name to be praised)

As we read the word of God, we discover Godís Will and we pray accordingly. Godís answers to our prayers declare His Will

1st Thess. 5:17 says. ďPray without ceasing or pray continually. There are certain Times God delays answers to our prayers in order to test our answering (steady or constant; not changing or becoming weaker) TRUST in Him.

Jesus said in Luke 18:1 that we should always pray and never give up. Always go to the presence of God in prayer if answers to our prayers are delaying. Some delays are due to unconfess sins. Read Is. 59:1; 2; 1st Jon. 1: 8-10. Some are caused by unbelief. Read Mt. 17:14 Ė20. Some delays are just to test our Faith, Patience and love for God. Read Habakkuk 2:2 Ė3; Ps. 27:14; Deut. 8:2-5.

The following are some topics Christians must know and use for prayer.
1. Repentance Mt. 4:17
2. Confession 1st Jon. 1:8-10.
3. Trouble of any kind James 5:13 Ė 18
4. Kings and those in authority 1st Timothy 2:1-2
5. Saints especially workers of God Eph. 6: 18-20
6. Success and Prosperity III Jon. 2
7. Wisdom and knowledge James 1:5.
8. Others Col. 1:3-14.

It is also Godís will to pray for the Repentance of sinners and ask God for Divine Protection. It is also Godís Will to put first into Prayer anything we want to do. Pro. 3:5-6.

God listens and answers prayers but He desires that we pray according to His Will and wait in expectation on Him. No matter how long He delays let us not give up

TOPIC Christ Walk in Godís Will

TEXT: Jon. 4:34; 6:38

OBJECTIVE At the end of this lesson, the Pupil/child should.

KNOW; 1. God wants us to agree with Him.
2. Godís will remains forever.
DESIRE: To pray without ceasing.

BE ABLE 1. Give passages in the Bible that explains Christ walk in Godís Will.
2. Give the name of one person today who walk in Godís will.

MEMORY VERSE: ď My Food,Ē said Jesus, is to do the Will of Him who sent me and to finish His WorkĒ. Jon. 4: 34.

Ngozi and her friends went to play at the school compound one Saturday afternoon. They played all kinds of games there including learning how to cook. When evening came they closed and started going home. One of Ngoziís friends Sabina told Ngozi to accompany her to their house before going to her own house, However Ngozi refused and told the friend that her parents will beat her up if she was late to the house. Moreover she wants to go and help the mother prepare the evening meal.

Ngozi again told her friend Sabina that if she fails to go home early the parents will never permit her to go out again to play with other friends. She said, ď I want to obey my parents by doing what they sayĒ Sabina was convinced and permitted her to go. They promised to see each other on Sunday at church service.

Our lesson for today discussed how our Lord Jesus Christ walks in the will of God.
What is a Will? It means to do what somebody wish or desire.

Our parents want we as children to agree with them. In the same way God wants us to agree with Him. Amos 3:3, says, ď Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?Ē If we agree with our parents in what they tell us, then it means we love them and take their advices. Our parents will be happy and whatever we want they will do it for us.

God wants His Children to agree with Him That is why He told the people of Israel that, if they obey His teachings and do according to what He wants they will be blessed abundantly and be called a Kingdom of priests and a Holy Nation. God again told them, He would fight their battles for them and put their enemies unto shame.
The Lord will never leave nor forsake us if we decide to agree and walk with Him

The will of the father is that, everything He created like the sun, Moon, Stars, Fish, animals will live and function according to the way He created them. That is why for 6,000 years now the Sun has never stop giving light to the earth or fish have ever stop existing in the river and sea. Godís Will remains forever, because what Jesus Christ came to do for us remains permanent. The Bible says in Hebrews 10:10 that, ďAnd by that Will, we have been made Holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for allĒ Again according to the Bible from Hebrews 9:16,17, the scripture says, ď In the case of a will, it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it, because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living. ď Verse 12 and 14 of Hebrews chapter 10 also says,Ē But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God. Because by one Sacrifice he has made perfect for ever those who are being made Holy.Ē Godís Will remains forever, so anyone who chose to do the Will of God shall also remain forever.

Christ walk in Godís will in order to set an example for us. Jesus declared, ď Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only He who does the will of my father who is in HeavenĒ Mt. 7:21.

The Kingdom of Heaven, hence; the kingdom of God is not meant for rebellious people. Anyone who refused to walk n the will of God is an enemy of God. Christ walk in the divine will of God, so even at one time a voice spoke from Heaven, after. Christ was baptized that, ď This is my son, whom I love, and with Him I am well pleased.Ē Mt. 3:17. Christ again in another development was troubled in heart and told the father to save Him from this hour. He again answered Himself, No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. Then the Scripture says in Jon. 12:28 that, ďFather, glorify your name. Then a voice came from Heaven, I have glorified it and will glorify it againĒ

All this want to tell us that Christ was determined to walk or do Godís will. So the Father was pleased with Him and glorified Him. In the same manner, if we walk in the will of God, the father shall be please with us, we shall be call sons and daughters of the living God and His name shall be glorify in and through us.

Study these passages,
Mt. 7:21; 12:50; Jon. 5:30; 6:38-40; Mt. 10:26; 39,42; Jon. 4:34.

Jesus Christ walks in the Will of God and left us an example. The will of God remains forever and anyone who chose to do the will of God shall be sons and daughters of God.
Can you name someone today who actually walks in the will of God? How explain.

TOPIC Abraham Walk in Godís Will

TEXT: Gen. 22: 11- 19

OBJECTIVE At the end of this lesson, the student should

KNOW; 1.That Abraham walk by Faith.
2. That Abraham walks in Godís Will
DESIRE : To live a life of Trust

BE ABLE 1. Tell the difference between Abraham and Christís walk in Godís Will.
2. List three things that are Godís Will and three things that are not
MEMORY VERSE: ď I am God Almighty, Walk before me and be blameless.Ē Gen. 1 17:

Abraham was a friend of God. He was called out from Ur of the Chaldeans as an idol worshipper. Much is not known concerning his early life, but the scripture says his father was Terah and brothers were Nahor and Haran. Abraham means father of many Nations. His former name was Abram. Abrahamís wife was called Sarai whose name was changed into Sarah, meaning mother of many nations. Kings of peoples came out from her, Abraham was very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold.

From the scriptures, Abraham believed the Lord and he credited it to him as righteousness. Why should Abraham believe the Lord? The account says, Abraham was childless and God assured him that, ď Do not be afraid, ÖI am your shield, your very great reward? Gen. 15:1 God promised Abraham a child, which will come out from the womb of Sarah. The sign God gave unto Abraham was that, He took him outside and said, ď Look up at the Heavens and count the stars if indeed you can count them. Then He said to him so shall your offspring beĒ Gen. 15:5.

To walk by faith means to keep on trusting God or keep on waiting upon God without looking anywhere until God speaks or brings to you the answer. It is not an easy thing to walk on his path, because if the Lord is not on your side, you can easily give up by giving the excuse that

1. The lord is keeping too long
2. The Lord cannot do it
3. The Lord does not love me
4. The Lord only hears the people of old
5. The Lord is far away from me. Etc.

One needs to have enough patience to walk by Faith. The Bible says, ď But blessed is the man who trusts ion the Lord, whose confidence is in Him Jer. 17:7.

The Will of God for Abraham was as follows
1. Leave your country, your people and your father is household and go to the Land I will show you. Gen. 12 :1
2. God appeared to him and said, I am God Almighty, walk before me and be blameless. Gen. 17:1.

3. God told him to keep His covenant Gen. 17:9- 11.

4. God tested him to take his only Son, Isaac and go to the region of Moriah and Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains. Gen 22:1; 2

Abraham by Faith obeyed Godís Will and did not refuse Godís Word. He was successful because he surrendered himself to unswerving faith in God. The Bible says, ď And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. ď Hebrews 11:6.

To trust means to hope, especially with confidence or the belief or willingness to believe that one can rely on the goodness, strength ability, etc of somebody or something.

We must reach a point in our lives to believe and trust God that, He alone has the power and ability to do everything for us. We can build this confidence in us by reading the Word of God daily.
The Bible says,Ē Consequently faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the Word of Christí Romans 10:17
Infact we must come to a point in life when we surrender our body, Soul and Spirit to the leadership of mountain- moving faith, miracle generating faith, earth Ė shaking faith, problem- solving faith and situation Ė changing faith. The conditions of our time demands that God must use Christians who have been tested, proved and tried by the Almighty Himself by placing them at strategic positions to do things that are thought to be impossible for mankind. These people do not known what is called defeat, failure or fear. They stand like the rock of ages that is the same Yesterday, Today and forever.

If our great father Abraham had failed to walk in God is Will, how will the story look like? The Lord promised Abraham this blessing
ď I will make you into a great nation
And I will bless you.
I will make your name great
And you will be a blessing
I will bless those who bless you
And whoever curses you, I will curse
And all peoples on earth will be blessed through youĒ Genesis 12: 1- 3

If Abraham had failed to walk in Godís will I should think the program of God concerning redemptions would have remain the same and the World will not have remain the same and the World will not have been saved. However, let us be grateful to our God Almighty because, Abraham a man of purpose and vision, saw that he must do everything possible within himself or at all cost to do the Will of God. In Christís earthly ministry, He referred to Abraham on several occasions when He was teaching, Examples are as follows.

ď I say to you that many will come from the east and the West, and will take their places at the feast with AbrahamÖĒ Mt. 8:11

ď There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth when you see AbrahamÖĒ Luke 13:28

ď But Abraham replied, Son remember that in your lifetime you received your good thingsÖĒ Luke 16:25

ďJesus said to him, Today salvation has come to this house because this man too is a son of Abraham ď Luke 19:9

ďAs it is, you are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God, Abraham did not do such thingsĒ John 8:40

ďYour father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was gladÖ I tell you the truth Jesus answered before Abraham was born, I amĒ John 8:56,58.

Without any controversy, we must understand that Abraham and Christ walk in Godís Will were not different but the same thing,. By faith, Abraham saw what was in accordance with the divine will of God and walk in it. We in the same manner must ask the Lord to open our Spiritual eyes in order to walk in accordance with Christís Will

Abrahamís walk in Godís Will was received through REVELATION. Therefore, we can only please God if knowledge of His Word enlighten our path to understand what exactly He wants us to do for Him. May He help us. Amen.

ASSIGNMENT: List three things that are Godís Will and three things that are not.

TOPIC David Walk In Godís Will

TEXT: 1st Samuel 22:1-5

OBJECTIVE At the end of this lesson, the student should

KNOW; 1. David walks by Faith.
2. David walk in Godís Will

FEEL: Sorry for not walking in Godís Will.

BE ABLE Tell the difference between Abraham and Davidís walk in Godís Will

MEMORY VERSE: ď I desire to do your Will, O my God; your law is within my heartĒ Ps. 40:8

David was the Son of Jesse, a descendant of Boaz and Ruth, a Jew and a Gentile. Both Jews and Gentiles are to be blessed in the Christ whom David typified. David was anointed when in humility, keeping the sheep His seven brothers had passed before Samuel but the one to be anointed must be one after Godís own heart, one that would care for and feed Godís people. The spirit of Jehovah came upon him from that day.

It is abundantly clear that, David a man after Godís own heart lived a life of FAITH.
We can see it in his prayers in the book of Psalms.
ďÖ. In the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectationĒ Ps. 5:3

ď Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.Ē Pps. 9:10

ďWait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.Ē Ps. 27:14
ď But I trust in you, O lord, I say, You are my God Ps. 31: 14.

ď Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust..Ē Ps. 40:4.
Davidís unswerving faith in God gave him the great victory over his enemies in battle and on Goliath. If David did not have Faith, his enemies would have defeated him and that will not please God. The opposite of fear is courage and we must ask God to give us the power of courage in order to do great things for the Lord.

Walking in the Will of God was the prime aim of David. He displayed it throughout his lifetime. The following scriptures explain that fact.
ďYour servant has killed both the lion and the bear this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of the them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this PhilistineĒ 1st Sam. 17:36,37.
David knew that it was the Will of God to fight Goliath, because God wanted to remove disgrace from the Israelites.
ď Would you let my father and mother come and stay with you until I learn what God Will do for me?Ē first Sam. 22:3.

ď He inquired of the Lord, Saying, Shall I go and attack these Philistines? The Lord answered him, Go, attack the Philistines and save KeilahÖ. Again David inquired of the Lord, and the Lord answered him, GoÖ. For I am going to give the philistines into your hand,Ē first Sam. 23: 2,4.
ďAnd David inquired of the Lord, shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them? Pursue them, he answered. You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescueĒ 1st Samuel 30: 8
ďDavid inquired of the Lord, shall I go up to one of the towns of Judah? he asked. The Lord said, Go up David asked, where should I go. To Hebron, the Lord answeredĒ 2nd Samuel 2:1
ď Observe what the Lord your God requires. Walk in his ways, and keep His decrees and commands, his laws and requirements, as written in the Law of Moses, so that you may proper in all you do and wherever you go.Ē Ist kings 2:3

The situation of our time and the need to do something in order to survive has caused a lot of Youth today who do not want to walk in Godís will. Decisions such as the following are taking without asking God is it is His Will to do this or that.

1. Entering Education, profession, marriage or want to travel. Etc.
2. One can say because my friend is attending this or that school I feel to do the same
3. Because this profession or business is very lucrative, I must do it.
4. I must go and marry this woman or enter relationship with this man, because I am in love.
How often do we take our time to wait patiently upon God to find an answer to our problems? Have we asked God to tell us His Will concerning things we wanted to do?
Can the Lord count upon you as a loyal partner in Ministry who wants God Ďs kingdom to come upon earth and His Will be done be done as in Heaven? There is a way that seems right to a man but in the end it end it leads to deathĒ proverbs 14: 12. Do you know our work on earth as true children of God is depopulate hell and make Heaven rich with true sons and daughters of God.

In our previous study on Abraham, we saw how our father Abraham walk in the divine will of God and therefore trough his descendants Isaac and Jacob received the blessings of the promises of God. There is one thing that is common for all those who walk in Godís Will. The thing is Obedience to the Word of God, no matter how painful, disgraceful or helpless the situation any appear to be. To obey Godís will demands perseverance, endurance, Faith, consistency, positive mental attitude and total dependence on His Word.

Abraham and Davidís Walkís Will in Godís Will are just the same thing. What distinguished Abraham as the father of faith is never different from David. Look at how David, a young boy addressed Goliath an experience soldier. The account in first Sam. 17:45-46 says.

ď David said to the Philistine. You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will hand you over to me, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth and whole world will know that there is a God in Israel.Ē
Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him as righteousness. David believed God and did exploits, so he became a man after Godís own heart.

As Christian Youth, we must walk with God and do His Will. Let us ask ourselves this great question. Lord who am I? Why am I on earth? Where am I headed? If these questions are carefully answered, we will begin to see and understand the reason why we should walk in Godís divine Will.

TOPIC Daniel Walk In Godís Will

TEXT: Daniel 1:5-9

OBJECTIVE At the end of this lesson, the student should

KNOW; 1. Daniel walk by Faith
2. David walk in Godís Will

SHOW: Interest to walk in Godís will

BE ABLE Tell the difference between David and Danielís Walk in Godís Will

MEMORY VERSE: ď The king said to Daniel, may your God whom you serve continually rescue you.Ē Daniel 6:11.

Daniel the Prophet, was one of the tribe of Judah and of the royal family of David, Nebuchadnezzar carried him to Babylon. . He was chosen, as one who was well favored and without blemish, to stand before the King, and to be taught the learning and tongue of the Chaldens; his name being changed to Betheshazzar. He was to be fed with the Kingís meat and to drink the Kingís wine, but Daniel resolved not to be (in this way, like this, because of this) defiled. The food has probably been offered to idols. He requested that he and his companions might be allowed to live upon vegetable food and water for a few days and God blessed this faithfulness and when tested they were found well nourished. God also gave them knowledge and skill in learning and to Daniel He gave understanding in all visions and dreams.

To enter the Kingís service after one has learned the Babylonians language and literature is a high position of great honour. It therefore, needed total obedience to whatever training one must undertake in order to be qualified.
However, Daniel a man of faith and great vision refused by resolving within himself not to defile himself with the royal food and wine. Daniel again walk by faith when in Daniel Chapter 6, he defeat the Kingís edict which he enforced as a decree that for the next thirty days, anyone who prays to any god or man, except. To him, king Darius, shall be thrown into the Lions den. This law however, was planned in disguised by the royal administrators, prefects, satraps, advisers and governors.
Just because they envied Daniel of how he so distinguished himself among the administrators and Satraps by his exceptional qualities. By so doing the king will put Daniel in the Lionís den.

In Psalm 27:2-3 , the scripture says ď When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear, though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.Ē

The Scripture says, ďNow when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened towards Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.Ē Daniel 6:10.
This is a walk by faith to teach those who do not know God that, as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are Godís ways HIGHER than maní
