Now retired for the third time, I continue to write for publication. I have spent most of my adult life in Christian Higher Education. First, on the faculty and in administration at Gordon College, Wenham, MA; and then twenty-four years on the faculty of Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL,--- seventeen as chair of the department of biblical studies. Finally, as president of the Institute of Holy Land Studies (subsequently renamed Jerusalem University College), Jerusalem, Israel. Following a period of home leave, I served two short terms as an instructor at Emanuel Bible College, Oradea, Romania. From time to time, I have taken short term assignments in several other overseas locations.
My wife Joan and I have five children, fifteen granchildren, and four great grandchildren. Our home presently is in Russellville, AR. Our church home is Grace Fellowship Church.
