Having A Healthy Mind (2006) Bible Studies By Ruthie
February 19, 2006 (HEALTH FOR OUR MINDS) Recently I have been going through a severe battle in my mind. I know there are a lot of books; on the battle in the Christians mind. Yet I could not remember one word of what was said in them. While being prompted by the Holy Spirit, to do a study on having a spiritual mind I found peace in His Word. I went to the Bible for comfort, and deliverance, as I began to read these scriptures my spirit began to leap with joy, as Gods Word became alive, and powerful. You may read all the books in the world, and decree, this and decree that over and over. Yet unless you are abiding in the eternal Word of God there is no life and deliverance in them. The freedom and deliverance I felt when I went to the Word of God was a glorious peace. If we want to stay free from the world and its influence; we must stay in the Word Of God!! Amen and Amen!!! (HOW TO HAVE A PEACFUL MIND) The WORD OF GOD tells us in Isaiah; that God will keep us in perfect peace when our minds our stayed on Him. Why? Because we are putting our trust in Him our Lord. From our reading of (Isaiah 26:3) we see that our minds must stay upon our GOD daily and continually! God will ordain peace for us because He is daily at work in us.
When we go directly to God in regards to whatever maybe bothering us His word quickens and brings deliverance to where there may have been turmoil and unrest. Gods word is the weapon of our warfare; and key to keeping our minds uncluttered from the things of world. (1JOHN 2:16)
For all that is in the world- is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life- is not of the Father but is of the world. (My Notes) Little children we are not of this world, so we are not to be acting as though we are. We must put on a spiritual mind and a humble mind Another commodity we Christians need is a humbleness within ourselves. (We must seek to have the mind of Christ!) Keeping an eye turned inward upon our selves, being careful to not think to highly of oneself ! It took the same salvation offering to save one and all! It takes the same amount of Grace to keep all. The only difference is, that we tend to forget that. We need to immerse ourselves in Gods Word daily.
(We have not been given a spirit of fear) When we are in heavy battle our minds may become weary and overloaded. We may soon forget who we are in Christ and how we stay that way. The enemy lies to us and we believe his lies; he accuses us day, and night, and we wonder if we are still Christians? Our faith light begins to dim a little and we see no way out until we run to Gods Word. At that time the enemies lies; become swallowed up in Gods truth. Do not let your self give into the enemy of your soul, because the (Word of God) said he has been a liar from the beginning, and he is ( father of all lies and liars.) We are Gods children and we are free from all condemnation; and God fights for us faithfully every minute of the day. We never need to worry His eyes our continually watching over us. (My Testimony) I recently was in a fight of my life facing breast cancer. I felt so numb and in shock, that when I was sleeping the enemy would attack my spirit, and my mind.
I became so weary from the battle, I actually almost gave into his lies. It was as if I was in severe shock and not thinking, and remembering what God had already healed me from.
Most of all not remembering what Gods Word said about me. This was a battle that I had never faced before, I have learned much going through it, and the deliverance is so sweet. Amen!! I had more or less just resigned myself to the fact that I had cancer and that was that. I had out Patient surgery and it took a whole week to hear the verdict. (Guess What?) No malignancy Praise God Forever more. Just some pre cancer cells in there, I speak no cancer over them. I have been a Prayer Warrior, and a warrior in battle for Christ for years. I had killed my bear, and lion, and I was about to behead the giant.
I have prayed diligently for cancer patients for years binding up the strong man of lies, and rendering them powerless and emptying them of the power to do harm. That is what Christ has done for us. Amen (A Prayer For You) (I feel led to say a prayer for all who may have cancer or think they do.) Dear Father God in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazereth, I bind all cancer cells, and take authority over the harm they intend to do. I bind the lies of the enemy; and all the attacks he has planned upon the people of God. I reverse the curses to where they came from and plead the blood of Jesus over all Your children. I bind the spirit of fear, and render it powerless over all your children. Jesus you said we are more than conquerors through You JESUS our LORD! Amen!! (We must have the same mind one towards another) To wrap up this little study of the mind, we also must have the same mind one to another!
If we know how to take authority over the enemy?
God expects us to do that for our brothers, and sisters. When we were small, and I am using this as literal allegory here. If you saw someone hurting your brother, or sister you being older, bigger and wiser ran right away to thier rescue. Just as God when He saw his Children pining away in sin, He sent His only begotten son the Lord Jesus Christ to die for all of us. I will sum all of this up by saying, "we have all power over all the power of the enemy. Arise Gods children and fight, the good fight of faith. Remembering Christ disarmed satan of all his power to harm. Christ took away the keys to hell, death and the grave, sickness, and pain and disarmed him the enemy of our soul. If we think the enemy has power he is telling us lies, and we are believing them. It does not matter how big the battle looks to you! May God open your eyes to see the mighty fighting host with you. Now Lord You are sending your mighty fighting angels to be with your children! Guard and give them sound minds, teach them to be warriors, taking authority over all the lies of the enemy.  (Isaiah 26:3) You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:14) LORD, You will establish peace for us, For You have also done all our works in us. O LORD our God, masters besides You Have had dominion over us; But by You only we make mention of Your name. They are dead, they will not live; They are deceased, they will not rise. Therefore You have punished and destroyed them, And made all their memory to perish. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
A Humble Mind (Phillipians 2:5-8)
(A humble and obiedient Christ) Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Meditate on These Things
(Philippians 4:7-8)
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (2 Timothy 1:7) For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. ®©
