INTERCESSORY PRAYER
(James 5:16)
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
(NKJV)
(Amplified Bible)
[The earnest heartfelt, continued] prayer of a righteous man
makes tremendous power available-dynamic in its working.

Intercessory Prayer

Prayer is like exercising the more you do it the stronger you become.
The more you pray the more obstacles you knock out of the way
for yourself and others.
The more you pray the more powerful you become in bringing down strongholds, that detours us in our journey with Christ.
When I accepted Jesus as my Savior, and was filled with the

Holy Spirit He drew me into a life of prayer and fasting.
I prayed a lot, and did much fasting  people were calling me
for prayer that I did not even know. Asking me a novice in the faith for prayer.
The more we prayed the more the presence of the Holy Spirit became manifested in our lives.
The more we seek Him in prayer, the more of the gifts He will deposit into our lives.
The more we pray the more the fragrance of the Lords prescence becomes apparent in our lives.
The more we pray the more we can see HIS will and purpose for our lives.
When you have progressed this far you will never want to leave that sacred holy place in Him.
Where heaven is your audience and the King on The Throne is enthralled with your presence and lets you know of His love for you and others.
He reveals the deep things of the Lord to you when you are His captive audience.
Things you would never other wise know except you spend hours in prayer before Him.
God wants to draw His children before Him so He can become your
captive audience with your prayers?
Does God long to hear our prayers?
Does He long to talk to you and with His Spirit reaching out to minister to you?
Yes; He has taught me he does.

I believe prayer is the greatest calling a person can be called to.
Because when you pray you are in His presence.
How I long to be called away to God in prayer as I love His presence
I joy in His presence.
Yes God loves your prescence He longs to hear your voice and see your face.
For your voice to Him is lovely and your face is beautiful. Yes!
Believe it, it is true.
I have always been taught one thing, by the Holy Spirit!
That He is a personal God and savior!
He loves the world so much that he came to die just for you.
If no one else comes to believe and trust in Him, he is just so happy with you.
Because you are His Joy, and Crown, His Jewel in His Crown.
(Pause and calmly think on that)

Do you want to know Jesus in greater more intimate way?
Pray! Pray! Pray!
Do you want to sit in His presence?
Pray! Pray! Pray!
God spoke this to me first as a lesson.
That He was teaching to me, and my heart responds now to find the time?
There will always be something to keep us away from prayer
the nervousness that wants us to stop.
The endless chores that all of a sudden become important.
The phone calls that are meant to waste your time.
In Prayer we have to discipline ourselves.
Screen your calls turn the ringer down.
Find a quiet place where you are not so easily distracted.
That is where fighting spiritual battles come.
Through displine of the natural man casting down our imaginations
and every high thing that exalts itself against God.
There will always be something to keeps us away from Gods beautiful prescence.

Prayer and spiritual battle is all interwoven, as the flesh is willing but also weak. Then there are the spiritual battles that are sent to deter us away from communion with God.
I know and understand that some are called to intercessory prayer and they give their lives to prayer.
Yet we are all called to pray for without prayer we would be left to the wiles of our enemy.
How amazing is the  love of our precious God and Savior!
One who gives their life to prayer is not in the limelight of fame.
They are often hidden away by God to pray for His body the Church
Prayer Warrior, Preachers, Teachers, Pastors, Missionaries, all ministries, are all wrapped up in prayer!
What a beautiful picture this is in the eyes of our Master the Lord Jesus Christ.
You may be a Pastor or a minister and also have a ministry of prayer.
If more Pastors were prayer warriors there would be less wounding in the Churches.
We are all workers together with God in the field of souls.
How we respond and treat each other will definitely affect the body of Christ.
If we are compassionate, and kind, we will see a body of compassion and mercy.
If we are quick to bear one another’s burden, we will see a body of victory!
If we are quick to think more of others, than ourselves, we are a caring body.
But; if we gossip, hurt, and malign.
We will see a hurting body of Christ afraid to believe God still cares for them.

(Let us lay aside every sin that so easily besets us.)

Let us get on our knees and go boldly before His throne in Prayer!
Lifting up holy hands unto God.
Lifting up our brother, and sister, who are heavy laden, and bound down by the cares of this life.
Prayer changes thing--Prayer subdues the kingdom of the prince, and power, of the air and brings down wicked rulers and kings.
Let us always pray and not faint.
Recently I have joined a prayer chain that has many prayer requests they send out daily.
I print them out pour over them, talk to God about each one, then pray over all.
After a while I began to lag behind which concerned me because I take seriously everything God asks me to do no matter how small or large the tasks.
I began to say I just can’t do this Lord!
But the more I persevered the stronger I became.
His presence filled up my whole house my spirit and my literal dwelling place.
Prayer is an unselfish act unless you only pray for yourself continually.
Prayer is very pleasing to God.
Prayer will take you places in the Spirit you have never been.
Prayer will bring you before Kings and Nations.
You may say but I’m not called to intercessory prayer.
Maybe not but you can still pray and seek His face.
I promise you will never be sorry!

A Heart Talk From Ruthie, April 3, 2003

(Ephesians 6:18)
Pray at all times-on every occasion, in every season-in
the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty.
To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and
perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints
(Gods consecrated people.)

(Romans 12:1-12)
I Appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy
(devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing
to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.
Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after
and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be
transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind
[by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove
[for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect
will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and
perfect [in His sight for you].
For by the grace (unmerited favor of God) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself more
highly than he ought [not to have an exaggerated opinion of his
own importance], but to rate his ability with sober judgment,
each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him.
For as in one physical body we have many parts (organs, members) and all of these parts do not have the same function or use,
So we, numerous as we are, are one body in Christ (the Messiah)
and individually we are parts one of another [mutually dependent on one another].
Having gifts (faculties, talents, qualities) that differ according
to the grace given us, let us use them: [He whose gift is] prophecy,
[let him prophesy] according to the proportion of his faith;
[He whose gift is] practical service, let him give himself to serving;
he who teaches, to his teaching;
He who exhorts (encourages), to his exhortation; he who
contributes, let him do it in simplicity and liberality;
he who gives aid and superintends, with zeal and singleness
of mind; he who does acts of mercy, with genuine cheerfulness,
and joyful eagerness.
[Let your] love be sincere (a real thing); hate what is evil
[loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness],
but hold fast to that which is good.
Love one another with brotherly affection
[as members of one family], giving precedence and showing honor to one another.
Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and
burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord.
Rejoice and exult in hope; be steadfast and patient in
suffering and tribulation; be constant in prayer.

In His Service, Love & Keeping,
