A Treasure Box Of Precious things
A Treasure Box Of Precious Things

I have a treasure box of precious things Of broken vows, and, a golden wedding ring
Of happy times and sad ones too Pictures of our wedding when, we vowed to be true
I have cards from my friends, and loved ones, too Some happy and some blue
Broken promises, and precious things Shattered dreams and a golden wedding ring A picture made, by my granddaughter, Made with buttons and bows Sweet smelling savor, of dried once rose
You walked away, that day of sorrow Then I knew for you and, I there was no tomorrow I have times of joy, and times of sorrow
I have a treasure box, of precious things Of broken dreams and, a golden wedding ring
In this box of precious things I place the pieces, of my broken heart The memories tucked away, in the pages of my mind a brand new life, I must start
In my treasure box, of precious things Memories of another time, and a golden wedding ring
I close the lid on these precious things I know after the winter, will come the spring Of memories new, and different songs to sing
A treasure box, of precious things A once worn golden wedding ring
I will seal this box, and put it away This is the beginning, of a brand new day
