Our Ladies' Retreat is always the first weekend in May. Beginning on Friday with the evening meal, then having a wonderful time of fun, and fellowship...then we open the doors for God to come down during our sessions of music, messages, and testimonies. The weekend concludes with the noon meal on Saturday. Ladies, you deserve to have some time alone with God. Make plans today for next year's God's Woman Retreat 2010. More information will be posted at a later date.
Nothing is more fun than having a Youth Retreat at Psalms Camp! Whether it be a weekend retreat with your own church group, or a whole week with youth from other churches, we guarantee it will be a week you will never forget.
We host a week-long Youth Retreat each year around the last full week of June, inviting youth from all over to come worship the Lord with us. This year the dates are JUNE 22 - 26, 2009. If you would like your youth to be involved in this unforgettable week, please feel free to contact us and we'll send a brochure to you with all the details about "PSALMS 2009" Youth Retreat.
Plans are in the prayer stage of having a Men's Fall Retreat. Please pray that God will open doors of opportunity, and that He will show us His plan for this possible retreat.
A DAY AT PSALMS CAMP
Our guests awake to the smell of bacon sizzling on the grill, eggs, grits, homemade biscuits, coffee and juice. (Breakfast is usually served at 8:00AM).
After breakfast, you may take a leisurely stroll to the beautiful log chapel for early morning services. The carpeted floors and padded pews, accented by lovely stained glass windows, offer a perfect setting for worship.
Later, you may wish to visit the Snack Shack for a cold drink, candy, or chips. Perhaps there will be time for a visit to the Gift Shop.
There's nostalgia as you stroll down the nature trail. Meandering beneath towering Pines, lush Cedar, Wild Cherry, Dogwood, and other flowering plants, these foot paths end on a quiet wind swept hill.
A special hush comes, with the trickle of gentle flowing water from the fountain in "Beulah Land". Perhaps you may wish to spend a few moments alone with God in the "Gethsemane Prayer Cottage."
Time races and you wonder at the nice aroma that permeates the air. It smells like "Country Fried Chicken", or maybe "Steak and Gravy." The lunch bell sounds. The noon meal is ready to be served. You gather around the long tables in "C.P. & Rachel's Galley" and stuff yourself lazy. After this, enjoy a great time of recreation. How about a dip in the swimming pool or a fishing expedition in Psalms Lake?
As evening closes in, another generous meal is served (Psalms Camp is known for its good food!).
Next is "Fun Time" loaded with lots of skits, singing and special guests. And just when you think it can't get any better - there's more!
After a break for one last coke and snack, you may join the others under the stars for a quiet time before going off for a good night's rest.
