Into The Night
To shelter O Lord in Your cloak
Of warmth as the cool of the
Night descends over the land
The moon glows and the
Glittering stars fill the sky
Held by Your heavenly hand.
The mind wonders to the blessings
Of the day and ones that
Have gone amiss
I pray Lord Your angels will
Gentle come and on my brow
To plant a kiss
Where the cold seeps away
Because You My God
Watch with Your eternal light
And any troubles in my heart
Drown in whispers as I
Sleep into the night.
