Treasured Moments
There are many treasured moments
That come throughout the day
That brighten little corners, and
Leave a smile along the way.
I have to thank you Lord for
These little pots of gold
For without them my life would
Be so grey and very cold.
You give me such blessings as I
Journey here and there
That I pray I will remember
All the other folk to share.
Then when night comes upon me
After all the daily schemes
You send your guardian angel to
Watch over all of my dreams.

Little Nuggets
There are little nuggets
Each day, that bring
Us joy in some way.
There are the sparrows
Bathing in the sand, a friend
Who offers flowers in your hand
The stranger who flashes
You a smile, and another
Stops to talk a while.
The warmth from the waning
Sun and thoughts of life to ponder
Upon. When the day is past
And spent, to rest and wonder
Where time went. To pray
And thank God for the way
Those little nuggets lightened
Our day.

Blessing in the morning dew
When I think of you
Blessing in the evening rain
As I walk home again
Blessing in the strangers smile
As I go the extra mile.
Blessing in the songbirds call
Singing on the garden wall
Blessing in the food we eat
And all the fold we daily meet.
Blessing in the flowers that grow
In the blooms their beauty show
Blessing in the smell of mowed grass
Remembering in the times that pass
Blessing that I found in you
My life, my love that is so true.
