Angel
God’s angel of the day
Who keeps dangers far away,
Sent to watch over you and me
And all those who call on thee.
A presence so soft and kind
An image sometimes comes to mind.
I wonder what you are called by name
I might be shocked of your found fame.
God’s angel of the night
In dreams you take me to a height
Of reality I know not where
And perceptions I would not dare.
Journeys wide and shores unknown
Then return to earth where I have grown.
Till the dawning of the hour
When! to be gathered in they loving power.

Angel Angel by my side
Through my life you gently guide
One of God's helpers from above
So gentle kind and full of love.
With my life you come to share
Thou often I forget you're there
Angel Angel by my side
Through my life you gently glide.

Keep away the darkness
While the stars are shinning bright.
