Verses 2 stand on!
These are some of my favorite verses that I have stood on. I believe that without the strength of Gods word I may never have made it through many trials in my life. I mean I/we need the word everyday. It just seems sometimes we may be going through certain tests and trial, and standing firm on a verse has helped me to keep the faith I needed to make it through! Also, confessing the word of God aloud is a VERY VERY POWERFUL WEAPON! There have been times when that is all I knew to do. I didn't know what to say, or where to turn, and I would just repeat certain verses over and over again! Confessing them without faith is useless though. You MUST have the faith that what you are confessing is true, and that you believe it with all of your heart!
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not (there is nothing to fear), for I am with you, do not look around you in terror and be dismayed. For I am your God, I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes I will help you. I will hold you up and retain you with My victorious right hand of rightness and justice.
Proverbs 3:1-8
MY SON forget not my law or teaching, but let your heart keep My commandments. For length of days or years of a life (worth living) and tranquility (inward and outward and continuing through old age till death) these shall they add you. Let not mercy and kindness ( shutting out all hatred and selfishness) and truth (shutting out all deliberate hypocrisy or falsehood) forsake you, bind them about your neck, write them upon the tablet of your heart. So shall you find favor, good understanding, and high esteem in the sight (or judgement) of God and man. Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Be not wise in your own eye: reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn (entirely) away from evil. It shall be health in your nerves and sufficiency (from righteous labors) and with the first fruits of all your income
Psalm 27 The Lord is my light and my Salvation----whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the refuge and stronghold of my life----of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even my enemies and foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war arise against me (even then) in this I will be confident. One thing I have asked of the Lord, that I will seek, inquire for, and (insistently) require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in Hid temple. For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me, He will set me high upon a rock. And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent will I offer sacrifices and shouting of joy; I will sing, yes I will sing praises to the Lord. hear O Lord, when I cry aloud; have mercy and be gracious to me and answer me. You have said seek My face. My heart says to You, Your face Lord will I seek. Hide not Your face from me; turn not Your servant away in anger, You Who have been my help! cast me not off, neither forsake me O God of my salvation! Although my father and my mother have forsaken me, yet the Lord will take me up (adopt me) Teach me Your way O Lord and lead me in a plain and even path because of my enemies. Give me not up to the will adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up against me; they breathe out cruelty and violence. What, what would have become of me had I not believed that I would se the Lord's goodness in the land of the living! Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and EXPECT THE LORD!

7 I could have become proud of myself because of the amazing and powerful things God has shown me. So, I was given a problem that caused pain in my body. It is a message from satan to make me suffer. 8 Three times I begged the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But He said to me, "My grace is all you need." "My power is strongest when you are weak." So, I am very happy to brag about how weak I am. Then Christ's power can rest on me. 10 Because of how I suffered for Christ, I'm glad that I am weak. I am glad in hard times. I am glad when people say mean things about me. I am glad when things are difficult. And I am glad when people make me suffer. For when I am weak, I am strong... 2Corinthians 7-10 Amplified Bible And to keep me from being puffed up and too much elated by the exceeding greatness (preeminence) of these revelations, there was given me a thorn 9 a splinter) in my flesh, a messenger of satan, to rack and buffet and harass me, to keep me from being excessively exalted. 8 Three times I called upon the Lord and besought and besought ( Him ) about this and begged that it might depart from me; 9 But He said to me, My grace ( My favor, loving kindness and mercy) is enough for you (sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully(; For my strength and power are made perfect ( fulfilled and completed ) and show themselves most effective in ( your ) weakness and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah ) may rest(yes may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me! 10 So, for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure in infirmities, insults, hardships, insults, persecutions, perplexities, and distress: for when I am weak (in human strenght) then I am (truly) strong (able, powerful in divine strength) Amen!!! Todays Verse For December 25, 2008 and Merry Christmas to all who are reading this, and thank you Lord for giving us this day to celebrate! Christmas is about Sacrifice, Love, and the Freedom that Christ died for all of us to have! The Santa thing and the presents and family time is beautiful, but never forget what Christmas REALLY MEANS! So here is a verse to remind you............. Matthew 2:1 Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea. This happened while Herod was still king. After Jesus' birth, Wise men from the east came to Jerusalem. 2. They asked "Where is the child who has been born to be king of the jews?" When we were in the east we saw His star, now we have come to worship Him. Matthew 2:11 The wise men went to the manger. There they saw the child with His Mother Mary. They bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures. They gave Him Gold, incense, and myrrh Matthew 2 1:18-25 Amplified Bible 18. Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place under these circumstances: When His Mother Mary had been promised in marriage to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be pregnant ( through the power of the Holy Spirit) 19. And her (promised) Husband Joseph, being a just and upright man and not willing to expose her publicly and to shame and disgrace her, decided to repudiate and dismiss (divorce) her quietly and secretly. 20. Bust as he was thinking this over behold an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying Joseph descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For that which is conceived in her is of, (from out of) the Holy Spirit. 21. She will bear a Son and you shall call Him Jesus ( the greek form of the hebrew Joshua, which means Savior ) For He will save His people from their sins (that is prevent them from failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God.) 22. All this took place that it might be fulfilled which the Lord had spoken through out the prophet, 23. Behold the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel---which when translated, means, God with us. (Isa 7:14) 24. Then Joseph being aroused from, his sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: He took took (her to his side) as his Wife. 25. But he had no union with her as her husband until she had borne her firstborn Son; and he called His name Jesus........ Romans 3:23-24 NIV Bible (23.) Everyone has sinned. (Godless human nature) For these are antagonistic to each other (continually withstanding and in conflict with each other), So that you are not free, but prevented from doing what you desire. Galations 5:17 NIV The sinful nature does not want what the spirit delights in. And the spirit does not want what the sinful nature delights in. The two are at war with each other. Romans 5:15 NIV
God's gift is different from the result of Adam's sin. God judged one sin of that one man. But it was even more sure that God's grace would allso come through one man. That man is Jesus Christ. God's gift of grace was more then enough for the whole world.
Romans 5:15 Amplified Bible
But God's free gift is not at all to be compared to all the trespass (His Grace is out of all proportion to the fall of man). For if many died through one mans failing away (his lapse, his offense), much more profusely did God's grace and the free gift ( that comes) through the undeserved favor of the one Man Jesus Christ abound and overflow to and for the best ( the benefit of) Many!
2Corinthians 4:16, 17, 18, NIV
We don't give up. Our bodies are becoming weaker and weaker, But Our spirits are becoming renewed day by day. 17 Our troubles are small they last only for a short time. But they are earning for us glory that will last forever. It is greater than all troubles. 18 So we don't spend all of our time looking at what we can see, instead we look at what we can't see. What can be seen lasts only a short time. But what we can't see lasts forever........
2Corinthians 4:16, 17, 18 Amplified Bible
Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear) though our outer man is(progressively) decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being (progressively) renewed day after day. 17 For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory (beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blesssednes never to cease!) 18 Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal ( brief and fleeting) but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting
