Jeremiah 29:11 was a verse I felt God was speaking to me through, back when I was a Christian believer. My girlfriend and I (yes, you read that right, LOL!) had been fasting for 7 days, only taking beverages, and we had gone to a meeting of Messianic Jews in Ormond Beach, FL (funny how you live there, LOL!) on Nova Road. To my GF, he said, "What you have been waiting for these seven days will come to pass." Needless to say, overhearing that I was amazed! After this, there was a lot of food, and we were going to break our fast with the group, but I was discouraged, and went to be alone and pray. Stepping into the room we had used for the meeting, my eyes fell on a piece of paper under a chair on the floor, and so I went and picked it up and read it. On it was the citation for Jeremiah 29:11, and so I looked it up - and was even further amazed! To me, it felt as though God had reached out to me personally instead of giving the message through a man. I wept and thanked God, went back to join the others, and there I broke my 7-day fast with rejoicing.
