Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth
Home

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God,
a worker who does not need to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth."

Welcome to the Word of Truth Ministries website. This website is dedicated to producing and providing the Christian family with accurate, trustworthy, and affordable resources to enrich and elevate the believers relationship with the Father and his fellow man through Jesus Christ our Lord.

"True spirituality must be manifested in our day to day walk: the outgrowth of incubation in the atmosphere of relationship with the Father rather than that of the intellect. Instead of studying spirituality theoretically and being satisfied with that, we have to enter into His intimacy, and breathe in the words of His mouth and bathe in the warmth of His presence. To know Him we must invite Him into every aspect of our life, and welcome His hand and savor the anticipation of His touch." - Jeff Huddleston

What is Jeff Working on?
Jeff is currently putting together resources in anticipation of an indepth study of the Gospel of Matthew. The most exciting resource being a transliterated version of the Hebrew New Testament with Hebrew Strong's numbers. The Hebrew New Testament being used was translated by 19th century German scholar Franz Delitzsch, and is still considered the best Hebrew NT translation. As progress is made we will post updates concerning this project.

What's New?
Due to the "chatter" on FB and other places concerning certain English translations of Aramaic/Hebrew New Testament texts (which are themselves translations of the original Greek texts), and the subject of Hebrew and/or Aramaic primacy of the New Testament scriptures I have recently re-written portions of my article "Was the New Testament Originally Written in Hebrew?" I study, love, and glean much from the Hebrew Roots of our faith, but let's not confuse fact with fantasy.

You can read the complete article in which I go into much greater detail concerning Hebrew vs. Greek primacy of the NT scriptures on our
Articles page.

I would also like to point out
that many Messianic/Hebrew Roots groups are NOT legalists, and many do not hold to the Hebrew/Aramaic primacy of the NT. Two really good Messianic/Hebrew Roots sites are Hebrew for Christians: http://www.hebrew4christians.com/index.html
and First Fruits of Zion: http://ffoz.org/

I recently received this from Hebrew for Christians:

Hebrew for Christians @Jeff Huddleston: Nice article! I appreciate it!! As you probably already know, Hebrew4Christians is an entirely "GRACE-BASED Messianic ministry." I make no apology for the fact and regularly argue that followers of Yeshua are NOT under the terms of Sinai any longer... That's why it's called Hebrew for CHRISTIANS. I am also quite familiar with a lot of the missteps you mention in your article among various groups in the Messianic movement. Shalom.

Featured Resource
A great resource that we provide a link to here at Word of Truth is an online ministry called Christian Apologetics & Research Ministry (CARM for short). I utilize this sight when dealing with doctrinal issues, and especially when dealing in apologetics.

This sight is basically a place to sharpen your skills in defending the Christian faith against heretics and their bogus doctrines and attacks on the Church. An article I read today is titled: "The Law and the Gospel" and can be found here. The article is a must read for those who, like myself, have been approached by or actually tangled up in the so-called "Messianic" or "Hebrew Roots" Movements and are looking for truth.

You can also read my own articles on this website concerning the Messianic/Hebrew Roots Movement; such as "The New Covenant", or "The Old Renewed Covenant?" on the Archives page, and "Was the New Testament Originally Written in Hebrew?" found on the Articles page.

Our Resources page features Word of Truth e-Sword modules and various sites that offer free Bible study resources.

Jeff has posted a new article:

"Was the New Testament Originally Written in Hebrew?"

Excerpt: "...when we come upon a "difficult" passage of scripture that seems to say that "Christ is the end of the law", or, "ye are not under law, but under grace", it is always helpful to be able to tweak a few words to change the meaning of what is clearly being said in the Greek (it must be nice to change the rules as you go in a game you want to win)..."--Read full article in the Articles page.

and:

"Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit: What is it? And, can a born again Christian commit this 'unpardonable' sin?"

Excerpt: "This week we are going to be looking at another one of those difficult passages of scripture that has no doubt kept many a Christian awake at night wondering, "Did I blaspheme the Holy Spirit when I…"--Read full article in the Articles page.

23.02.2009 "The New Covenant", or, "The Old Renewed Covenant"? A closer look at the core doctrine of the Messianic Movement.

Excerpt: "Many in the Messianic Movement contend that the "New" Covenant is just the "Old" Covenant (the Law of Moses, i.e., Torah) renewed. April and I spent a year and a half learning, living, and teaching the Messianic perspective. After much prayerful study of the Word of God we have left the Messianic Movement, and have fully returned to our Christian family and Church home, having come to the following conclusion..."
