Psalm 40: 1-3
I waited patiently for the Lord
He inclined to me and heard my cry.
He drew me up from the desolate pit
and set my feet upon a rock.
He put a new song in my mouth
a song of praise to our God.
In 1996, our oldest daughter was killed by a man who ran a red light on a busy city street. Of course, we were devastated and desolate as was David in the Psalm. The Lord made His presence known and gave me His peace by sending melodies and words.His Spirit is amazing in that He is Lord of all yet comes to comfort His children. I have tried to share His peace and love in my songs.
