Here is where I'll blog about my progress. Once I complete a task, I'll write about it. Keep checking back. --> Scroll all the way down for tasks in progress.
Saturday, August 29, 2009 - #'s 36, 68, 71 I have three more completed! So, these three were completed in the same trip. I road tripped with my family from Chicago to Denver (where I've never been before). The road trip was great, finally taking another vacation with my family was such a great experience, and Denver was fun... yet much smaller than most cities I've visited. I'll have more time, though, to explore Denver--if there's much to see that is. And I've ben chipping away at some other tasks. This has been a slowww process.
Wednesday, April 29, 2009 - #'s 41, 56, 96 I am happy to be back with some things completed. Woot. I celebrated Valentine's Day (#41) this year, which was a lot of fun. I went out with a couple friends; we saw "He's Just Not That Into You" which is a very good movie--surprisingly. I knew I'd like it, but it was extra good. And we went out to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory (my fav restaurant!), and ended up at Starbucks. Actually, dinner, movie and Starbucks--the whole night was perfect to me--all my favorite places =D For Lent, I gave up secular music, so it was very easy for me to complete the one week of listening to only Christian music (#56). I went to the extent that if I had a nonChristian song in my head, I had to force it out haha And it really was an amazing experience to practice mind control like that. Setting my mind on things above. Less than a week ago I went in to get my hair TRIMMED, but the lady cut off like 7 extra inches, and I didn't like it. So I figured I might as well dye my hair since I have been wanting to for a while. And tada #96 was completed! I now have short, dark brown hair, as opposed to my long blonde hair. I'm really happy with all that I've accomplished lately, though! I look at my full list, though, and I get really nervous that I won't be able to finish it. I still have over a year, but at the same time, it's a lot, and some of the things require some major decisions. But I will keep pushing along, and am hoping to finish by the deadline!
Tuesday, February 10, 2009 - #'s 1, 17, 61, 64, 65, 80 It's definitely been a while since I have updated my list accomplishments, but they have been happening. I saw Wicked (#1), which was just amazing. I would suggest anyone to see it. I wasn't expecting it to be so deep or funny. The acting and songs were all fantastic. I also went one week without an internet (#17). I was hoping this goal would be a planned week, but it turned out that I just didn't have the internet for a while. I eventually got it on my phone, but I did go a week without it. Go me. It was a sucky week, though ha ha! I repaid a loan (#61) I had accumulated from a generous friend. That was so awesome to finally do. Seriously... weight lifted off my shoulders. Plus, I sent in my application (#64) and got accepted (#65) to seminary! Grad school here I come =D And last but certainly not least, I volunteered on Christmas Day (#80). This has been something I have wanted to do for years now, but never did. So, together with my mom, I helped serve at a "soup" kitchen on Christmas day. I put the quotes on soup because we weren't serving soup, it was a really yummy Christmas dinner! And it was time well spent. Sooo this has been a pretty big update! I'm really excited that I'm slowly working my way towards getting stuff accomplished. There are goals I need to rethink, but I will replace them. As time goes on, I realize that these aren't all things I want to actually do with my time--they're not me. So, that is why I reserved the right to change them up if necessary.
Sunday, October 19, 2008 - #52 I just realized that I finished number 52 last month... whoops! ha ha I am very much still using my faith journal weekly, though. It really helps me focus my time with God. I'm really excited that I started using one. I had wanted to start using a faith journal for a long time, but I needed to wait for the right time.
Sunday, October 12, 2008 - # 30 Well, as of yesterday I have officially learned to knit!! I am knitting a black scarf. It's no where near done, but that's ok! ha ha It was fun learning. I hope I keep up with it.
Saturday, October 4, 2008 - Update Changed #34 from Learn CPA/First Aid to Take a dance class. It's just more fitting to what I'm interested in doing with my life. So I feel like I'm doing a few things here and there, but not making any major accomplishments with the list. I hope this changes soon. Sometimes I'm not sure where to start on the list. I guess I hope some of this stuff will just naturally happen over the next 1001 days because they are things I really want to do. Yet at the same time, I want to be more proactive. Ah well... I guess time will tell =D Feel free to leave comments!
Saturday, September 13, 2008 - Making Changes So, I changed #26. I didn't want to take anything out of the Learning category, though. So, I replaced learning 2 new words per month to... drum roll... take one piano lesson! Learning to play the piano is something I really want to do, and have for a long time. So, there you go. Likewise, I took out #62. It just is not a desire of mine at this point in my life. I replaced it with "list 101 things I want to accomplish in my education and future career" because it's an important reflection to make as I move forward in life =D And for #3 I went from "write a message in a bottle" to "dance to one song everyday for a month" because well... I love to dance, not pollute the ocean! Also, for #85, I took it down to 3 months instead of 6 months because it's important to make sure I'm making reasonable goals here. I mean, 6 months would be better, but 3 months is realistic... and that's the point. Last change... #42... I went from "spend a day with each of my immediate family members" to "take family pictures." My family hasn't done that in forever... we really need to. Maybe I can make it happen =D So... TONS of changes, but I think they're all good changes and definitely are more lined up with what I want right now.
Saturday, September 06, 2008 - #37 I disappeared for the summer because of an intensely, time-consuming, amazing internship... but I am back! And with some updates. Yay =D Check out all the tasks I've started! I finished #37 this summer because being away from home makes you write people... a lot. I sent letters, post cards, and cards. Definitely more than 20. And I haven't done #26... but hopefully I'll catch up, or change it because it's not something I really care to do. We'll see!
Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - #18 and #35 I have completed #18 and #35 and started working on a few. The new drink I tried at Starbucks was the Mint Mocha Chip Frap--loved the chocolate whipped cream! Would recommend it to anyone. And the dinner party was a lot of fun. I invited 5 friends over for dinner and games. I really hope to do that again sometime! I really had a blast cooking and hanging out and everyone else had an awesome time, too. Yay =D
Wednesday, May 7, 2008 Yesterday, I finally finished creating my list of 101 things. I would love to just start now, but I picked June 1 as my start date, so I'll stick to that. It seems more organized to me. But I'm really excited about this list and I cannot wait to start it. I'm trying to recruit some friends to make a list, too, but so far there have been no takers. Ahh well.
