PAST EVENTS

                   ONE-DAY SINGLES FELLOWSHIP RETREAT -

18 people from across our district gathered in Memphis Oct. 3 for a day of good fellowship, fun and food.  The weather was perfect and several people even enjoyed the swimming pool!  We had 4 first-timers so it was great to get to know them.  We enjoyed a Bible Study and making plans for the spring fellowship retreat.  Mark your calendars for April 30-May 2, 2010 as we gather again at the Group Lodge at Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park near Camden, TN.  Our theme will be "Love One Another", John 13:34.  Information will be sent to all congregations in March and will also be available on our website

                       MID-SOUTH DISTRICT SINGLES FELLOWSHIP RETREAT

18 singles gathered at The Lutheran Camp on Petit Jean April 17-19 for a wonderful weekend of Bible Study, fellowship, renewing old friendships and making new friends.  We welcomed 5 first-timers!!  Rev. Rollie Schutz led us through scripture showing how God gave us His grace and how we receive it daily.  Even though it rained some on Saturday, it stopped so we could have a bonfire that night and roast marshmallows.  Everyone had a great time and we all left refueled and spiritually refreshed!!  Our next Singles event will be late Sept. or early Oct. in Memphis.  Information will be sent to all congregations in August.
