In 1982 Abbot +Martin had sent a letter to Mother Teresa of which she responded in long hand. This letter is now kept in a Special Reliquary. In 1989 the Abbot had the very special privilege of finally meeting Mother Teresa at her seminary for Priests and Brothers in Tijuana, Mexico.

"It was a day I shall never forget as long as I live," said Abbot Martin. "Several of us were waiting in the heat of the day for her to return from visiting the very poor in TJ. She had been gone for hours and was expected back soon. Finally the Van arrived and I remember how tired the Priest driving the van looked. He went around to open Mother's door but she opened it and jumped down with much vigor. Coming to each of us she welcomed us and blessed us. We were each important to her.

I was privileged to spend a half hour with her privately and to receive her counseling on several issues. One quick short sentence was that we would one day build a Monastery dedicated to Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist. As an Eastern Orthodox Archbishop, I did not see how this was possible at the time. But here we are today with Our Lady of The Most Blessed Sacrament Monastery.

It was Mother Teresa who really obtained the Monastery for us. It was through her intercession, the very day she died, that we miraculously obtained the Monastery and grounds. Someday I will write all about it."

We have searched the Web in order to find a great site on Mother Teresa that you may enjoy her life and SAINTHOOD. Here at the Monastery we call her St. Teresa, Mother of Love.
