Hello, Dear Reader,
God can give us any words we need...in all situations...legal ones and... ***************************************************** New--November 2007: GG has written an e-book that was published in a paperback on a different topic. The title e-book: Frequent Illnesses and the Power of God The paperback Title: Health Words in the Word It's about communicable diseases, and in particular AVIAN FLU. You are asked to pray, and do what God asks YOU to do.
***************************************************** There are a few deeds of love we are to do in Christ... Be just and kind. Love others as we love ourselves. Help the sick and prisoners...
To hear the groans of the prisoners...
instruct them about God's plans to give (all of) you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11 projets afin de vous donner de l'espérance et un avenir - French Vorhaben um euch Hoffnung und Zukunft zu gewähren - German Progetti per concedervi un futuro pieno di speranza - Italian planes a fin de darles una esperanza y un futuro - Spanish
so they are "Prisoners of Hope" Zechariah 9:12 Captifs pleins d'espérance - French Gefangenen der Hoffnung - German Prigionieri della speranza - Italian Cautivos/prisioneros de (la) esperanza - Spanish
Listen to this! There are words in the Bible for you and me to encourage prisoners: Mark 13:11 states: Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, DO NOT WORRY BEFOREHAND about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not "you" speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
God promises to "give us the words" we need, even in legal and paralegal situations...whether we enter into a contract, whether we are guilty or innocent,...even if we are facing arrest, justified or not, detention, jail, or the death penalty. We will know the words, if we proclaim the "Good News". Yes. The Lord IS my shepherd. Yes. Jesus Christ will come again in glory. This requires wisdom, of course, as to know when testimony, action and/or silent witness lets God speak through us too.
We may face a judge who is corrupt or very just, knowledgeable or incompetent, hard-working or lazy. God can give us the words and make us listen well...even when we can't "speak" or don't "know" the language in the particular court.
Please pray for anyone facing this kind of situation now, those in their own countries, who do not understand "legalese" and those who are POW and MIA on all sides of conflicts. (POW = prisoner of war; MIA = missing in action) Pray for those in front line contact and those interrogating, interviewing etc. Pray for civilians and justice. Pray for war and peace makers and mongers. Pray for the persecuted church and all persecuted members. Pray for anyone who comes upon this webpage and the wise use of wordings.
God can give us the persistence we need to reach a judge, just or unjust. On the other hand, God is quite capable of confusing our words when we are greedy for money or power and wish to be greater than God.
The above verse, Mark 13:11, can be communicated in various languages. I want to teach you with Agape love what I can and should.
- GermanGod has a plan for you and if you should "need" another language, the Holy Spirit can help you find meaningful wordings.
A sentence or judgement for stealing bread should never be imprisonment for life.
This/my punishment is too great. - German Il mio castigo è troppo grande. - Italian Mi castigo es demasiado grande. - SpanishA statement or wording for the sane or crazy, innocent or guilty is: "Give me justice." Luke 18:3Rends-moi justice. - French Fammi giustizia. - Italian Pedir justicia. (To plead justice) - Spanish ...at humihingi ng katarungan. - IlokanoThis webpage here will certainly not give you all the information you need. God gave YOU something to do.
Whatever the circumstances, God's messengers always reassure us with: "Do NOT be afraid."
Let us believe Jesus' reassurance when he said about potential dangers: "When you hear of _______(horrible circumstances), do not be alarmed."Erschreckt (auch) nicht, wenn ihr von ____(etwas schrecklichem) hört. - French Mark 13:7; Luke 21:9 Keep on praying.
Show mercy and compassion to one another - Zechariah 7:9 Ayez l'un pour l'autre de la bonté et de la miséricorde. - German Mostrate ognuno verso ____(suo fratello) bontà e compassione. - Italian
Ponder stories and wordings about Jesus' arrest and numerous trials. Ask yourself about the effect of what was not said about documents of the census in Bethlehem. Meditate on Paul's prison stay and travel to Rome. Pray about Joseph of the old testament. Think on the negotiations of his brothers whether to kill him, let him live or sell him. Think on him being traded into slavery. Look at his stay in jail. Was it impulse judging, revenge or saving face by Potiphar? Was there even a trial? Examine the informal probings and "tests to find information" of Joseph's brothers by Joseph, the Egyptian official, regarding his unsuspecting and "famished" brothers. (Entrapment?...) Compare the fate of the 71 kings. Empathize with Stephen as he is arrested and stoned in Acts 6. Think about Solomon and his famous case. Admire Esther dealing with Haman and his plots. (If when you dig a hole, you fall into it (Proverbs 26:27)...then If like Haman you erect a gallows with hate, you .....) Identify key words for a fruitful Bible Search Find the words of crimes for justice. Investigate the legal gathering between Laban and his son-in-law. Read about the "legal" purchase by Abraham of Sarah's burial place - the Cave of Machpela near Mamre, in Hebron...with bargaining of buyer (Abraham, son of ____, stranger) and seller, (Ephron, son of Zohar, Hittite), buyer's and seller's names repeated throughout story, price (400 shekels of silver)(standard of shekel given = merchant's shekel), witnesses (the Hittites at the gate), description of property (cave, field, all the trees on it) and a deed and a "registry office" at the gate of the seller's city. Genesis 23:1-20 Genesis 49:29 - 50:13 - It became the family burial place, the place of the fathers (and mothers too)...identified with names... Abraham/Sarah; Isaac/Rebekah...Leah, Jacob/Israel More details of the deed are given - Mamre in Canaan, seller's name given again (Ephron, the Hittite), near threshing floor of Atad, near the Jordan. Another deed - Matthew 27:7 the potter's field burial ground 2 Chr 26:23 - Uzziah's burial ground - in "the kings'" field Be surprised that Joseph, the Egyptian official, had to "Go to Court" to ask to bury his father in Canaan. Genesis 50:4-9 Assess Deborah, the Prophetess, and the Palm of Deborah Court. Judges 4:4,5 + Deduce the function of the gates of a city. Re: Mordecai and the husband of the Proverbs 31 wife. Study the ways, actions and questions, answers and logic of those in power--the Pharisees, Herod AND of JESUS. Practice logical and legal thinking with young, inexperienced Elihu, Job Chapter 32-36, who wanted to persuade Job and Job's three gray-haired learned buddies. Evaluate if Old Testament laws of Exodus and Leviticus apply today to the courts in various countries and regions, especially since The Law of Love supercedes some Old Testament laws. For example, The dietary rules and laws are now measured with God's glory and blessing NT standard. Learn about perseverance of those not in power, such as the unjustly treated widow who kept up her quest for justice day after day. Choose methods to stand up for your rights with the daughter of Zelophehad of Numbers 27. Appeal with Acts 25 and 2 Cor 10:1 Check out the Directquote webpage for Bible stories with a twist and more wordings Imagine what you could, should and would have done in their shoes. Role model what you could, should and will do. Marvel at God's plan of punishments changed by self- and intercessory prayer, love and forgiveness. Yes, JESUS just says, "GO AND SIN NO MORE!" to any penitent.
Billy Graham wrote: "P.S. I am convinced that the Bible has answers to all of life's challenges." That's true, amen!
*************** Besides criminal legal wordings there are contract legal wordings in the Bible. There are many wordings regarding real estate matters.
