Every minister should have a covering. This means two things.
First, as a pastor, I must have a pastor. I need to have someone that I can talk to and get spiritual advice from and whom I consider honest and above reproach. I want the covering of someone who will speak into my life and give me guidance from a higher perspective. even high annointing
Secondly, I believe that every minister should be a part of something larger than themselves. A ministers' association or denominational organization should be a part of every minister's life. This association or denomination should be of like faith and belief. There should be unity in this covering. No man or woman of God who is in the ministry should be so independent that they feel they are above anyone speaking a word of correction to them. There must be accountability.
Several years ago I joined an organization called jesus working power centre. This organization is a worldwide association of faith ministers. All of the five-fold ministries are welcome. Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers who are called to minister the Word of Faith stand united under the jwpc banner.
Originally, I was licensed and ordained through a major Christian denomination. I still hold those credentials along with my credentials from jwpc However, many ministers have no accountability or no place to go where they can get counsel or help from someone they can trust.

1 Kings 17: 13-16
But Elijah said to her, Don't be afraid! Go ahead and do just what you've said, but make a little bread for me first. Then use whats left to prepare a meal for yourself and your son. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There will always be flour and olive oil left in your containers until the time when the Lord sends rain and the crops grow again!
So she did as Elijah said, and she and Elijah and her son continued to eat for many days.There was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised through Elijah.
When the widow of Zarephath met Elijah, she thought she was preparing her last meal. But a simple act of faith produced a miracle. She trusted Elijah and gave all she had to eat to him.
Faith is the step between promise and assurance. Miracles seem so out of reach for our feeble faith. But every miracle, large or small, begins with an act of obedience. We may not see the solution until we take the first step of faith.
Father God, we want to be known for our faith in You!
We trust You and we know that You will always provide for us.
May we step out in obedience in all areas of our lives.
Help us to take the steps needed to live a life built on faith!

Now true peace in our lives can be hard to find at times,
but through our faith in Jesus Christ we can know peace
even in turmoil. This is because; He Himself is our
peace. ( Ephesians 2:14 )
O God, keep us humble when pride and ambition threaten to lead us astray. Let peace prevail when we quarrel over foolish and vain things. Bless those who already demonstrate a servant's heart, and create, in those of us who do not, a greater willingness to serve others. Amen
