'WHERE GOD IS REAL & SO ARE THE PEOPLE!'

2009 Miracles

January          After suffering a time of depression and great fear the Pastor prayed for me during one of our meetings.  The following Sunday I was able to testify that I had been healed.  The depression and fear had given me an awful time and I thank God that He has healed me.  Thank You Jesus.

‘If the Son shall set you free you shall be free indeed’

February          I had been experiencing severe pain with my elbow.  After one Sunday morning service I left the church and then realised I no longer had any pain.  What an amazing God we have.

February          I discovered a lump which caused me great concern.  It was also very, very painful.  At one of our meetings Pastor spoke the Word regarding laying hands on the sick and they will recover (Mark 16) Anyway - it's gone!!!!!!!!  Praise God!

March          Our first new glory meeting was tonight.  What an amazing God we have.  Here is one testimony -

"I asked the Lord to show me His glory and when Pastor Robert asked who had prayed for that I went up the front.

I closed my eyes and prayed "Show me your glory".  Almost immediately His Spirit came rushing into me.  I had pins and needles all over and my heart felt like it was going to explode.  I was aware that my legs were shaking but I couldn't stop them.  I kept praying "Show me your glory" over and over and I was trying to focus on God's presence. As I stood there I felt like I had been removed from the Church and I was stood surrounded by a huge thunder storm.  All around me were flashes of lightening and claps of thunder.  It was pouring with rain and I was saturated. I felt like I was being electrocuted repeatedly and my heart was going to explode.  The power of God was all around me. I felt like I was going to get blown of my feet.

I felt God say  "I am so powerful that I can do all this… WOW!  Thank you Jesus, for Your glory in out midst.

April          Tonight at our glory meeting we had the most wonderful and powerful time.  We are so thankful for the Salvation that took place and we bless God for His love and faithfulness.  You had to be there to have experienced what took place.  There are no words to describe what God did!  Wow.  Thank you LORD!

It was never meant to stop!

‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever’.  Hebrews 13:8

Jesus said “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father”  John 14:12  If it were true, as some have suggested, that Jesus was solely referring to His immediate disciples (hence, first generation  church), how is it that church history reveals that great men and women of God moved in the same power as Jesus moved in down through the ages?  The ‘power source’ is the same Jesus had.  Acts 10:38 reveals the Holy Spirit is that power source.

Everywhere that Jesus went signs wonders and miracles followed. A basic review of church history would highlight numerous ministries trademarked by signs, wonders and miracles.  The Wesley brothers, banned from most pulpits, took to the streets to proclaim the Word of God and miracles, signs and wonders followed.  Famously, Smith Wigglesworth, Kathryn Kuhlman and William Branham saw countless miracles, signs and wonders during their ministries and Evan Roberts, the 1904 Welsh revivalist, had many signs, wonders and miracles accompanying the revival. It seems to me that being in the ministry is rather like being an artist; you’re only appreciated and your work seemingly of worth once you have died!  Today, many who readily criticise ministries such as Benny Hinn, the Toronto Blessing or the Brownsville revival, respect great ministries of the past, even though these ministries were also synonymous with signs, wonders and miracles.

If Jesus Christ really is the same yesterday, today and forever, but the local church is not moving in power, then dare I suggest that the error is with the local church and not with God!

Mark 7:13 ‘…making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down’.

The church in the book of Acts was a continuation of the life of Jesus.  The local church often seems to be a continuation of the traditions of men.
