This year GRC Youth is partnering with Eaton’s Pizza for our annual pizza fundraiser. We will be selling $6 pizza coupons which are redeemable for 12” cheese, sausage or pepperoni pizzas. The coupons will be on sale every Sunday morning after each service. This fund raiser will help to offset the cost of our youth retreats, outings and mission trips.
On Monday, Decenber 7, 2009, from 5:00 – 10:00pm, GRC Youth will be serving at Pizza Ranch® to raise funds for the summer mission trips. We will receive 10% of all the sales for the night, which includes dine-in, to-go, pick-up and delivery. So bring your family to the W. Johnson Street location or call-up and order some delicious pizza and side to-go.
High School Retreat
I am please to tell you that we are officially taking registrations for the “NO EXCUSES, NO REGRETS!” High School Winter Retreat at Silver Birch. The retreat is on January 1-3, 2010. This year we will be joining with other area RCA youth groups, as we do with the Jr. High camp. The cost is $110; Registration form and $55 deposit due on Monday, December 21; Balance due when we leave for the retreat. (Brochures and registration forms are available at the office or on Sundays at the welcome center and at youth meeting.)
Summer Mission Trip 2010
We plan on traveling through 4 major South African cities: Johannesburg, Durban, Pietermaritzburg and Rustenburg.
We anticipate departing from Chicago on Thursday, July 22, 2010 and returning on Tuesday, August 10, 2010.
During the trip, we will have the opportunity to minister at schools, churches, orphanages and clinics through music, drama and the word of our testimonies. We will also get some time off to enjoy the sights and sounds of South Africa. |
