THE MESSAGE
Jesus comes for His Bride
THE MESSAGE
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. John 12:46
God has done His part, by providing a Holy Sacrifice for our sins. It is up to the believer to walk in His light and not abide in the darkness, from which he/she has been saved. One need to fully enter through the "door" to be saved, and remain there.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13
He has chosen you. You responded to His Love and now the only thing you have to do is keeping your will surrendered and your life committed to Him. By doing this, you automatically abide with the scriptures.
Stay far away from worldly and sinful places and activities. Keep yourself cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb and holy before God's face.
Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. Proverbs 4:14,15
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Romans 8:7
You must abide in Him, obey His word and walk by faith, not by sight. Exercise your faith and allow it to develop into maturity. Establish a deeper bond with the Lord, let holiness be your partner.
Be in constant communication with Him and have your mind set on Him. Whatever you pray for, walk by faith in the direction of your prayer. Be encouraged for a closer walk with Him, get saturated with the scriptures, dwell upon Him and discipline yourself to praise Him at ALL times. For the Lord dwells upon the praises of His children.
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7
As His follower and as an example to others, we have to rid ourselves of the negative influences of our old nature in our daily living. Once we have learned this in small areas, it can be transferred to main areas of our lives.
This may seem hard to do and it is, according to the flesh. But don't you ever think that the Lord does not notice your walk in this. He will not leave this unrewarded. He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
The willingness to lay down the old flesh comes from an inward longing to be completely Christ's. Total surrender to the Lord is a process by which we ourselves play a great part. It can be compared with a mother reaching out to her child who is taking its first steps. The mother is not doing a thing, just encouraging and coaching the child. Laying down the flesh is one of the first steps toward victory. Really, what we have to surrender is not much to start with and well worth the trade off.
There will be no slack time in the life of us who want to follow Christ, for we're still dealing with sin, satan and imperfection around us. We can only be victorious if there is a battle to be won. We can only be a winner over something that can be lost. Without a battle, victory will not exist. We can never be a winner if there is nothing to lose. As long as we stay active on the battlefield we will gain ground and Christ will show forth.
Shew me Thy ways, O LORD; teach me Thy paths. Lead me in Thy truth, and teach me: for Thou art the God of my salvation; on Thee do I wait all the day. Psalm 25:4,5
It all seems to be hard work for it goes against our carnal thinking. But there is a "key" in becoming victorious. Making the decision to follow the Lord all the way is a major "key." To open the door further you have to keep your "flesh" crucified (down and out). Only through the power of the Holy Spirit can one advance, and please God.
The MESSAGE is: Stay focused on the eternal goal; Keep your life committed to Christ; Abandon all worldliness; Run the race; Endure until the end.
We need to make ourselves ready for the return of the King of Kings. God gives us the opportunity throughout our lives to learn and accomplish that which pleases Him and glorifies His awesome name.
That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:27
