OPERATION SUNSHINE IS ON FACEBOOK! Just go to www.facebook.com, and search for Operation Sunshine 2010. We need your photographs, discussions, and submissions as we prepare for this mission to Palawan in thePhilippines in February of 2010.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE--or NOT?
"Mission Impossible" is a movie starring Tom Cruise, but today let’s focus on another mission. You and I have been given a mission by Jesus. Our mission is to tell the whole world about Jesus' love and forgiveness. Now, that would seem to be an impossible mission, but we don't have to do it alone. The Church, like the "Impossible Mission Force," is made up of many people. Each of us has been given special talents to help accomplish the mission. If we choose to accept our mission, then "Mission Impossible" becomes "Mission POSSIBLE." How about YOU? Are you willing to accept the mission?

Letter from the Pastor
STEWARDSHIP THUS FAR: WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANTS!
Great work, church! You have maintained your regular offerings above and beyond what was anticipated by this time of the year. You have kept up giving to offset the increase in our rent, also above and beyond expectations so far. And you have been generous with God's provision for Operation Sunshine, the building fund and its silent auction, and special offerings such as the One Great Hour of Sharing. Well done, good and faithful servants!
Why is all of this significant? Let's begin with God's and your call of me as your Interim Pastor. Based on your pledges and regular giving projections at the beginning of the year, we anticipated income sufficient to maintain my call through the month of September. This is what we budgeted. We decided that at the June 7 Session meeting, we would examine our regular giving up to that time, and decide whether or not I can continue as your full-time Interim Pastor beyond September, all the way through December of this year. If your giving patterns continue as they have so far this year, I will be able to finish out the year with you. Then, if it is God's will and provision, we can look to having me as your
Interim Pastor for one more year!
There is still much to be done in my tenure with you--especially completing the Appreciative Inquiry process, and the plans for ministry over the next five years that the process will engender. This will help guide you in your search for a more permanent pastor. So I am trusting God that God's grace and power and provision will be at work in and through you and your giving, all the way to the end of the year--and beyond!
What's even more important, your sustained, faithful and generous giving are a vote of confidence in the ministry and mission of this congregation. You are thanking God tangibly for God's faithfulness and goodness to us in all that we do. May the Lord be glorified and praised!
Let's finish the job that our generous God has given to all of us--all the way through December 31!
--Pastor Keith

WELCOME TO OUR CHURCH WEBSITE! Because we're still new at this, please bear with us as we slowly build it to be an effective means of communication for our beloved congregation.

Meanwhile, please feel welcome to join this loving church family which ministers to persons of Filipino ancestry in the San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys, involving five generations of Filipinos in the USA. We worship Sundays at 11:00am at 639 N. Soldano Ave. in Azusa. A delicious lunch, usually featuring Filipino favorites, follows worship every week. After that, we offer Sunday school for all ages. Many of our leadership teams and committees meet after that, including choir rehearsal.
