Prophetic Words to Edify, Exhort, & Comfort
By: James & Abigail Donovan
“Purpose for speaking prophetically”
The purpose for speaking prophetically is to speak life into people through edification, exhortation, and comfort. (Romans 15:2, Hebrews 3:13, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
Edification- to improve morally or intellectually, enlightenment, guidance, information, teaching, instruction (The Oxford American Dictionary and Thesaurus Second edition 2001)
Exhortation- to urge strongly or earnestly (The Oxford American Dictionary and Thesaurus second edition 2001)
Comfort- to console, cheer, soothe, reassure, relieve, gladden (The Oxford American Dictionary and Thesaurus second edition 2001)
Every believer is encouraged to uplift one another and to share the word of the Lord daily. (Hebrews 3:13). It is important to remember the only way to hear from God is to spend time with him. Three important ways of spending time with God are through the study of his word, through prayer, and through praise and worship. God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (II Timothy 2:15, Acts 6:4, John 4:24)
Open up your spirit and receive as your read the prophetic words on this site. Let God minister healing, hope, and love into your spirit. God is our source. Keep your focus on him and not on man. Every good gift comes from God. Whatever gift God has placed in you, as you repent and remain steadfast and seek him through prayer and fasting the gifts in you shall surely come forth. The Holy Spirit is the Power of God and we are the conduits that the power of God flows through. Be ye steadfast unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord. The words on this site are meant to uplift and encourage you.
God Bless You!
