Mission Statement
FOCHE exists to provide encouragement and edification to home-educating mothers for the benefit of their families.
Purpose and Membership
The original and ongoing purpose of the Fellowship of Christian Home Educators (FOCHE) has been to support and promote quality home education by providing support and encouragement to mothers educating their children at home. While the majority of our members are of the evangelical Christian faith, this organization does not deny membership to those of other faiths. Members who are not in a leadership position are not required to sign a Christian statement of faith, but they must agree to conduct themselves in a manner that is pleasing and respectful to hose of the Christian faith and in accordance with the guidelines outlined in this document. Individuals assuming a leadership role must be professing and practicing Christians, as well as meeting the other requirements for leadership outlined in a separate document. Membership in FOCHE is obtained by attending a meeting, completing a membership questionnaire, signing a membership statement, paying $10.00 in dues and submitting your Self Addressed Stamped Envelopes (SASEs) [optional for those desiring printed newsletters]. Members are given an identification card that can be used as identification as a home educator as needed. A membership list is distributed each fall to facilitate communication between members. New members are always welcome and can be added later.
