News - All HAS GONE well!
The Church hall area is now renovated after fire damage and we are very excited and pleased with the new maroon and cream decor and carpets. The new kitchen is a delight and to have decent toilet facilities is very welcome. The next stage is for the roof to be repaired (scaffolding is up and work underway) and all pigeons have been despatched to the nearby park except for two 'homers' who need deterring with spikes to prevent landing! Sadly they were perching over the new entrance so the 'pigeon carpet' was not appreciated! The Heritage money is available for the replacement of the ironwork railings outside and we are delighted that money is available to redecorate inside the entrance and sanctuary to provide the icing on the cake of our joint project. We are grateful to the URC who own the building which will now be called Burslem Lighthouse and both Fellowships will operate under this joint Trust.
A Healthy eating Club is now underway on Wednesdays at 6 30 p.m. and a Camera Club for novices meets fortnightly on Mondays. One for the more experienced will come later. There is a Coffee Morning on Fridays hosted by the two Fellowships.
We are enjoying the use of the new facilities for social and spiritual activities.
