As an elected connectional officer in 1992 in Orlando, Florida at the General Conference the title "General Administrator" of this Commission (Rite of Passage) was bestowed upon me. The DMC commission is fully organized with plans to implement ceremonies, promote projects and other activities for the involvement of youth across the connectional church.
Additional information about the DMC can be found in the Book of Doctrine and Discipline of the A.M.E Church on pages 229 and 230. We need and welcome youth and young adult participants and volunteers to join in the DMC effort. Let's invest in our youth today for a priceless result tomorrow; spiritually mature Christian servants in our future churches.
