Discipleship
I have been blessed to have recieved the Call to serve here at Christ the King Lutheran School. As you look at this homepage, notice the Bible verse in the lefthand corner. "...Go and make disciples." This is our theme for the 2008-2009 school year - teaching disciples, teaching dsicipleship and making disciples. Do you know what the word "disciple" means? We typically associate "disciple" with "one of the twelve chosen by Christ." You are a disciple. I am a disciple. All of Jesus' followers, therefore all believers are disciples. The Great Commission - "...Go and make disciples" is charging us to go out and grow God's kingdom. All of us have a Call to serve God in this capacity - as parents, teachers, freinds, and brothers and sisters in Christ. We look forward to joining you in making disciples as we work to grow and minister to the children of Christ the King Lutheran School.
