Where Will You Spend Eternity?
So many people say they have "plenty" of time to make a decision as to where they will spend eternity, but the truth is you do not. Our lives and the lives of our friends and loved ones are fragile indeed. None of us knows what the next moment could bring.
We at Christ Our CornerStone Fellowship are truly concerned about your future. We would like to share our "Statement of Faith~Beliefs" and the "Plan of Salvation" with you.
The Holy Scripture:
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, irrevocable and complete Word of God. II Timothy 3.16,17
The Eternal Godhead:
We believe God is Triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the three in one.
I John 5.7
The Fall of Man:
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but that by voluntary disobedience he fell from perfection. Romans 5.12
Basis of Salvation:
We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, signing the pardon of all who believe on Him and confess Jesus Christ as their Lord.
John 3.16; Romans 5.8; Romans 10.9,10
Salvation through Grace:
We believe that before salvation we have no righteousness of our own and must come to God through the righteousness of Christ. Ephesians 2.8
Repentance and Acceptance:
We believe that upon sincere repentance and a wholehearted acceptance of Christ as Lord, we are justified before God.
I John 1.9
The New Birth:
We believe that the change which takes place in the heart and life at conversion is a literal one and is the result of being born of the Spirit of God.
II Corinthians 5.17; Galatians 2.20; John 3.5-7
Daily Christian Life:
We believe that is the will of God that we live a sanctified and holy life, growing constantly in the Faith. Hebrews 6.1
Water Baptism:
We believe that baptism by immersion in water is an outward sign of the inward work of salvation. Matthew 28.19
The Lord’s Supper:
We believe in the commemoration of the Lord’s Supper by the symbolical use of the bread and juice of the vine. I Corinthians 11.28
Baptism of the Holy Spirit:
We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is to endue the believer with power, and that His empowering is after the same manner in Bible days.
Acts 1.8
The Spirit-Filled Life:
We believe that it is the will of God that we walk in the Spirit continually. Romans 8.1,2 & 14-16
The Gifts and the Fruit of the Spirit:
We believe that the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon the Christian and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of Spirit Filled life.
Galatians 5.22-23; Romans 12.6-8; Ephesians 4.11-13
Moderation and Balance:
We believe that all truth must be balanced with other scriptural truth in order to avoid any extreme or fanaticism and that moderation should show forth in our daily walk as a believer. Philippians 4.5
Divine Healing:
We believe that divine healing is the provision of Christ to heal the sick in response to the exercise of faith, the prayer of faith, the prayer of agreement, anointing with oil, the gifts of healing or the laying on of hands. We believe that this provision of Christ is for everyone today.
I Peter 2.24; James 5.14-16; I Corinthians 2.9; Mark 16.15-18
The Second Coming:
We believe that the Second coming of Christ is literal and inevitable.
I Thessalonians 4:16-17
Civil Government:
We believe that the laws of the land should be upheld at all times except in matters opposed to the Word of god. Romans 13.1-5
The Final Judgment:
We believe that all shall stand one day before God in final judgment, and there receive eternal reward or eternal judgment.
2 Corinthians 5.10; Revelation 20.11-13
Heaven:
We believe that heaven is a literal place eternally existent.
John 14.2; Revelation 7.15-17.
Hell:
We believe that hell is a literal place of eternal torment for all who reject the Lord Jesus Christ. Revelation 20.10,15
Evangelism:
We believe that soul-winning is the Great Commission given to the Church. James 5.20; Mark 16.15
The Plan of Salvation
John 11:25 says, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”
2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
John 14:6 says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Acts 4:12 says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
John 3:3 says, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Mark 1:15 says, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
2 Corinthians 6:2 says, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 4:15 says, “Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God; God dwelleth in him, and he in God.”
Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.~For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God~Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Its so simple, so clear. All you have to do is simply ask...If you are ready to accept Christ as your Savior and let him be Lord of your life, simply pray this prayer with us right now...
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You came to earth to die for my sins. I want to turn from my sinful ways and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. I ask this in Jesus name, and I believe it is done...Amen
